Lack of anything Enchanted in WDW???

Last May when I went the Enchanted stuff was already gone. Even the pins were hard to find. Now, I expect the Park to act like the movie doesn't exist.

It's not just the Amy Adams likeness issue. I actually got a call from Disney when I wrote to them about the issue and how we'd like to see Giselle in the Parks. I was told that Entertainment had seen my email and they assured me it has been taken into consideration, but things like budget and attendance also are a factor. As for merchandise, since Giselle isn't in the Princess Mafia* or one of the core characters I think they decided to use the remaining girls merchandise allocation for things like HSM and Hannah Montana.

However, the woman said not to lose hope, because if enough people keep asking for Giselle she could eventually be given a Meet n' Greet just like Tinker Bell's fans have finally won after years of asking.

Years.:(

As a result...my daughter who was 2 1/2 got to meet "Pip" n' Dale. That won't work for the next trip though.

*Disclaimer: Disney did not refer to them as a Mafia. That's my own tongue-in-cheek name for them when they are plastered on merchandise as a group. My daughter loves them all, but she actually likes them to appear alone rather than in a group. I do too, the older stylized princesses like Aurora don't get drawn with a modern design to fit in when they are alone.

ETA: Snort. Princess Nancy. :D

Uh, she didn't marry a prince. How can she be a princess?

Exactly. Plus, since the majority of the film was live-action and not so much a traditional animated film, it's considered more of a contemporary film (like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, for example) compared to the actual animated fairy tales. That could be another reason why Giselle isn't really featured as much like Snow White, Belle and the other REAL princesses are.

Jasmine didn't marry a prince. She married a pauper.

But Jasmine was born a princess........

Never thought about the fact that Giselle isn't a princess by her own choice. I love the movie and I would like to see more in the park. My DW would like a McDreamy meet and greet! (sorry for the Grey's Anatomy reference)

Enchanted ends with Nancy's dress shop being converted into a shop to make princess dresses for little girls. Princess dresses for little girls are all over WDW. All Disney would have to do is change the name of one of the stores to "Andalasia Fashions" and the tie-in would be complete.
