Yup, DBF is 6'3" so we're an odd couple too. I have a wooden stool (my Grandpa made it for me when I went to college...it has a Mickey carved in the top) that I use CONSTANTLY to reach things. Everyday when DBF gets home from work, it's become a lil "thing" of ours, I go get it to stand on so I can reach him to give him a hug.
He wants to, somehow, incorporate it into our wedding.
