Good morning everyone.
Morning Momma
It was wicked hot the day we got married too, and my dress was long-sleeved..... It's fun thinking back about all of that. Our rehearsal was memorable - we had 2 ministers because I refused to let Dave's minister marry us even though we were getting maried in his church. He participated, but my minister did the actual vows and pronouncement. Anyway, Dave's minister was annoyed, so he was positively rude to my bridesmaids because they were being a bit silly.
Gotta love silly bridesmaids.
We are still waterless.
Oh no!!! *holds nose* {{hugs}}

  Did they work on it all night?

Yup.
We haven't been out there yet this morning, so we don't know what progress they've made. We're thinking the city will have to bring in some water trucks soon. A lot of people live here. This is a big community!
George and I checked on some of the older neighbors last night. This morning I thought about all those poor people getting up to go to work. That must have been a bit rough!

So was my dress...the one I fell in love with was really meant for winter, but the train was beautiful. And they had fans on us for the ceremony, so it was tolerable. Despite the crenoline and hoop skirt underneath.

yes, he seemed OK - and he's also a film major, so they have that in common. He's reasonably neat and organized, so I'm hoping some of that will rub off on DS!

It certainly will help that they have the same major. Gives them something in common right off the bat.

sorry, I woke up kind of cranky today!!

My sister made mine, and we kind of designed it ouselves using things we liked from a combination of dresses, so I probably had no excuse for being so hot.... I had a veil too that I had hmade, and I was absolutely melting under that.

Wow! You people are handy! I can barely sew a button!

My dress was long-sleeved too. But at the end of October, that was just fine. Our dresses were not "timeless" in style, that's for sure. 70s fashion = yuck!

Yeah, I have NO idea when we'll be able to get back. Most likely not for a few years.

*breaks down into uncontrollable sobs*
Kind of a fluffy underskirt. Helped with the skirt rounding out. I'll post a pic of me in my dress later this morning if you want. I have to go get ready to take the kiddies to school.
Ooooo! Got it. So much to learn, have I

Have a nice morning, Jenny!

My sister is very talented. She also made the christening dress for our kids with material leftover from my dress. I can sew, but I never would have tackled that.
