I take some ideas from people here, and then work from that.
That's a really great way of looking at it, I'm not all that worried about winning. :lol:

Otherwise, we're okay. . .at least until shower time in the morning. Hopefully, it will be back on by then. You don't realize how often you turn on that tap until you can't use it!

I know - it's easy to take that stuff for granted, since it works automatically. I hope they fix it soon!

It's just any picture that anyone wants to post!
It's full of great pics! In fact, it just closed at 5000 posts and a new one has been started.

So, each person can post a picture each day, or one is picked as "the" picture of the day?

I just made myself my nightly smoothie.
I had to spray the blender with cleaner and wipe it out with paper towels, just so it's not sitting there getting grosser by the minute. Same thing with a cat food can that I'd emptied. Couldn't rinse it before throwing it away, so I sprayed it and wiped it out. I hate the idea of things stinking!

I do that when the power goes off... I feel like I can get nothing done!
That's a good time to read! Speaking of reading....
I really need to get cracking on my summer reading.
The book, pardon my French, sucks.
Completely and totally sucks.
One of the worst I have EVER read.
And this comes from a person who loves to read.

I know. You really don't. You also don't appreciate electricity until it's gone for days.

I knew it wasn't a contest, but I wasn't sure if just the first person of the day picked a picture and that was "the picture," and then people would admire it for the day, and then the next day post a different one, and then the cycle would continue.
I understand now, thanks lovely!!
I'll have to go check it out, it sounds awesome.

I'm currently uploading all of my 600 pictures, but I need to weed through them.

I remember losing electric one morning, as I was getting the kids ready for school last year (I think someone had hit a pole with a transformer), and I went to put something in the toaster before I realized I couldn't. Had to run the kids through McD's for breakfast. :rolleyes:

I've been thinking of Betty - I hope she's doing alright.

Oh Freddy, you've never looked at the Picture of the Day threads? They're great. Everyone who wants to submits a picture just to let others see. It's a great thread. I love it!

I know...we really are. I'd hate to have lived in any other time...except maybe the 50s. I think those were pretty cool. :D
