Hey Friends,
During Mickey's VMCP last night, I rode BTR with my 11-year-old daughter.

It was cold. I had on multiple layers with pockets galore. I put my brand new iPhone XR in one of the pockets and heard it hit the floor of the cart I was sitting in not too far into the ride. It was dark. I could not see and could not pick it up.

At the end of the ride, the phone was not on the floor. There is small opening to the track in the front of the cart on the floor.

I'm sure it fell down on the track.

It had a great case on it.

It also had ALL of my pics from vacation this week on it (yes, I do back up to Google Photos -- WIFI has been terrible :). :( . :( :(

I've filed a report with lost and found and was the LAST person to leave the MK last night at 2am. It was too dark for them to look on the track for a black phone.

Does anyone have any pixie dust? :)

Yes
Lost and found would be your only recourse. CMs and the ride engineers are instructed to turn any found phones off and then send them to lost and found.

Ouch. It states they will get back to you in 48 hours so I’d wait until then and if not then call guest services for an update. At least it’s in a no guest zone for someone just pick up and steal at least. What happens when you call the phone? Does it ring or has it been turned off?

We often also call the phone when we can't find a phone but make sure we do so in a dark room or a night because we see what lights up when we call.

A track walk is done every night as part of the closing procedures and there's also an opening track walk, so there is a good chance that a CM might have found it and sent it in to lost and found. Definitely, make a report that the phone is lost and hopefully the CMs find it.
