I love how these old wooden coasters like Cyclone and the Santa Cruz Giant Dipper use nearly *every bit* of their momentum to give the longest track length possible from their height. None of this modern steel coaster braking to a halt from 60 MPH thirty feet above the ground nonsense just because the park's too cheap to pay for more track length...

Never been to NY, but Cyclone's on my Bucket List, even if I just fly in from CA on a weekend, take a cab to Coney Island, ride the Cyclone, eat a Nathan's hot dog, take a cab back to the airport, and fly home.
(EDIT) How much is one ride on Cyclone now--fifteen bucks or something?

I don't actually remember, but I think it was around $10.

Semi-interesting side note:. The Cyclone is operated by Luna Park, but owned by the City of NY.
