You all have been a great help so far so let's see if anyone knows this. We are leaving in 3 days for Disney. My father claims he saw that there is a King Kong thing at Disney. I know there use to be but I thought it was gone. Could anyone help on this??? :veryconfu

King Kong was at Universal Studions (which isn't Disney) but was replaced by Revenge of the Mummy.

TTATraveler is correct. Kong was at Universal Studios, not Disney, where it unfortunately no longer exists. It was replaced by Revenge of the Mummy.

Maybe he's mistaking the Yeti for Kong? Both are big and furry :lol:

OP said his dad saw that there was "a King Kong thing at Disney", that doesn't require that he saw the Yeti in a commercial. It could be he saw a news story that mentioned the animatronic animal...

I was just thinking that since he insisted it was at disney, new for 2006 and he was refering to Kong, it's not a stretch to get that from EE news. Particularly if he's not as Disney-obsessed as we are :lol:

Ok.. I confess... Universal sold Kong to disney, and after some modification they're now using it as Yeti.

NO, NO , NO.... The RuMuR I heard from my best friend's brother's dog's Vet's assistant's sister is that Kong was moved to the Jungle Cruise. :hammer:
