Kinda curious... who changed plans do to free dining?

Called the TA this morning and she got our existing pkg trip to include the free dining. We were originally going with QS and had booked dinners at two places, BOG and Yak & Yeti (kept those). My wife and I discussed what we wanted. We got on the phone tonight, got everything we wanted and the times we wanted. I was thinking we might have to settle for odd times but everything worked out perfectly. Cape May buffet, Liberty Tree Tavern, Rain Forest Cafe, Hollywood & Vine (Fantasmic Pkg), Crystal Palace, Sci Fi Dinner theatre, Hoop de Doo Review, La Hacienda de San Angel.

We had our TA switch our res over yesterday to the Free Dining but then I saw on another thread about the Resort Discounts for the same time period. I sent my husband in to see the TA after work today to see which was better for us financially and we saved an extra few dollars by switching from the Free Dining to the Resort Discount and just paying for the dining plan. I think I'm going to owe Travis a big thank you after all this work he's done for us the last two days.

We were supposed to skip this year and go on a big family reunion trip to wdw next year. but Disney knows I'm a sucker for the free dining. So we just booked a trip last night to go this year. I was very surprised that I got some pretty good times for table service dining still. We couldn't get a early time at 'Ohana but they still had times available.

I wish we could have switched but September is the only month of the year my husband can not miss a day of work. We are doing an October trip for some R&R from his hell month.

AAA East Penn. He's helped us with our last few trips and he's been a big help each time. He used to work for them (in Central Booking, I think) and it shows because he really knows Disney.
See I am near philly so I get the mid atlantic guys. You will have to send me a message with his name, so I can use him for my next trip.

We couldn't and have gone in Sept for the last 4 or 5years with the free food. The free DDP saves us a ton with our four kids who eat, the room discount not so much. But our 5th baby is due on 9/29 and thoose pesky OB's and husband won't let me travel after August 1st;) Enjoy the food, it will be much better than my hospital chow.
ETA:
Two trips we decided to go based on Free Dining , we would not have traveled to WDW thoose years had the offer not been there.

I'm getting ready to book for November and I am struggling with the decision between waiting to see if free dining is extended or booking September instead (which isn't as good for us timing wise).

I had to reschedule my trip to arrive 3 days earlier (wednesday the 25th) and re-book my flight. Luckily I was on Southwest and didn't have change fees. Also lucky was that at 180 days out I did all of my ADRs already assuming this day would come (although I had actually given up all hope a few weeks ago)!
