Kids club questions

In May my 4 year old daughter and I as well as my 9 year old niece and her mother will be going on our first cruise. I am a little worried about leaving them alone in the kids club. How does this work? I assume they cant just leave on there own. So we sign them in and out. Is there something that makes sure nobody else can sign them out? Can we check on them at anytime? I am a little paranoid when it comes to my child. I’m pretty sure there is a forum for this…I just haven’t found it.

When you register the kids for their respective clubs they'll be issued a special bracelet. The entry points to the younger than teens clubs are controlled access. Yes, the children must be signed in & out and their bracelet scanned. Part of the registration process is you designate the adults authorized to sign your children in or out. These adults will have to present a room key to verify their identity. Anytime a room key is scanned on a computer it brings up a picture of that person. It's not like someone can get your key then go sign your child out because they wouldn't look like you.

I forgot about the password! So true, @tracyandalex !

Our boys were in Vibe when we started cruising. We never did the Mickey bands or signing in/out. The most we do is fill out & sign paperwork so our under 18 kids can come & go from the ship unaccompanied on Castaway Cay. ;)

When my wife and I left our kids at the club the first time we kept watching them as they went away to play, saying to each other so we should just go. We eventually did and after that we didn't even think twice about it.

What I found the coolest part was when you went to pick them up they could tell you what room they were playing in based on the GPS in the bracket, pretty amazing.

My son(5) loved fighting zombies with Captain America and my daughter(3) enjoyed storybook time with belle.

This is all great info. We had some of the same questions and know we are feeling a little better about what to expect. One of the reasons we chose to cruise with DCL was because of focus on families and this only strengthens our belief that we made the right choice.
