Leaving in 15days. My son is 5yo. What are the Kidcot Stations? Where are they located? Will a 5 yo boy enjoy them.

My son has done a few of these and really enjoyed them. Be prepared to sit for a while if your child does any because children can sometimes take forever to complete a project. LOL But it is a lot of fun for the child and they get a souvenir that they created. :)

Kidcot stations are located in every 'country' of the World Showcase. Every child receives a Duffy Bear cardstock cutout/ coloring page on a stick (paint stirring stick width) that can be stamped at every country in the World Showcase. I think a 5 year old would love them. My children are 7 and 5 and have been going to WDW for 3 years. They've loved them every time we've visited.

Some locations can be hard to find - we usually start in Canada - that Kidcot location is located at the Exit to Oh Canada! circlevision movie. Then in the UK, the location is inside of a gift shop near the back, in France it is in another gift shop (surprise, surprise! See a pattern here? :D) at the back. And so on. The CM's at each stop are really nice and in some countries they'll write out your child's name in their writing/ language - Chinese, Arabic, etc. My kids love that.

I think there are also Kidcot locations in the Futureworld part of Epcot, but other than the one outside of the Garden Grill one time, I've not seen one. Can someone else help with this?

Be warned - all Kidcot locations are sponsored by Sharpie (oh joy of my days, bane of my stain removal existence ) so if you have a Picaso who likes to draw on things other than approved items, you'll want to wear something you don't care about to Epcot. Or nail polish remover has gotten out the Sharpie for me several times :lookaroun

When did they switch this to that horrible excuse for a character Duffy? My son did several of these last September and I never saw any Duffy, thank goodness.

If you are imto the counties and want to let your kids learn about other countries and to put the time in with the kids while doing the kidcot stations I would also stop by a gift shop and buy your kids the passport booklet. They take the passport with them to each kidscot staions and they CM at the table will write in it for them. Its really kind of neat and my kids loved doing it along with what the station already offered. And the passport makes for much easier rememberance to take home.

Hmmm..... I'm not sure of the exact date, but you must have made it in just before the 'cut off' because I know he's been there since last December and possibly since October. Before the Duffy cutout it was just a mask- type cut out.

Yeah. I remember a mask cutout and something he did with a wooden stick and a cutout in the Living Seas upstairs but no Duffy. Thank goodness. :D

I never even took notice of the character. I just remember the kids getting some character on a stick that they can decorate and get stamped at each country in WS. And, yes, be prepared to have your kids at each station longer than you'd probably like. They become little artists during these sessions...

Something else you can consider for them is one of the WS Passport kits. They'll get a small booklet like a passport, with stickers for each country in the WS. They can take the booklet to each kidcot location and the CMs there will stamp them, and write a little message in the native language . It's another nice way to get them an international "feel" during the trip.....
