Keys to the Kingdom Tour

I was just reading about the keys to the kingdom tour on the disney website it says it lasts about 4.5-5hours, that seems like a long time.

Is it worth taking that time to do the tour?
What time does it start?
Where is the lunch that is "included"?
Do you ride any rides throughout the tour?
Is their another tour that you would suggest?
Generally is it worth the money, time, and interesting for two young adults?

Thanks!

I know there is an age restriction of 16, but does anyone know how strictly they enforce it? I would never take a child that I did not think could walk or focus for the 4.5 hour tour, but would like to take my son (who would LOVE this tour).
Same question, haha.
...any knows?

The age restriction is strictly enforced on all tours where there is an age limited specified. If they state the age limit as being 16 and over than they mean all guests taking part in the tour must be 16 years of age or older and they will check id. They ask for photo id upon check in and they do check them. I have been on several tours and on all of them, our id's have been checked. The only tour where guests under the age of 16 were allowed was the Dolphins in Depth but they had to be accompanied by a participating adult and the adult had to sign a waiver for them. Unfortunately if your son is under the age of 16, he's going to have to wait to take the tour.

I also have 3 boys all under 16 that would love one of these tours. I asked my travel agent and he explained that it is an OSHA thing because the tours go behind the scenes into warehouses. So Disney is playing fairly.:)

How odd, when I took the tour w/ my boyfriend and his mom, our ID's we not checked. All they did was ask us if we were over 16.

The Keys to the Kingdom Tour is well worth it, We did it in December our guide was the best ever. One word of warning, If this is your first trip to the happiest place on earth then I would suggest not taking this tour yet. WAIT for your next trip or two because you look at the place in a totally different way. As far as OSHA stuff goes, we all had to stay behind yellow lines when we were in the float areas. They do check ID's, everyone in our group had to show them when we checked in. I was not impressed with the utilidors, it was like being in a factory, towmotor type carts driving around, employee lockers, time clock..ya know that kind of stuff, nothing that interesting, being told that the sidewalks on the right walking up Main Street is wider than the left, and the stories behind all the names on the windows, that was so much more interesting than the utilidors.

They are VERY strict with the age limit. The last time I took this tour, there was one family who had a daughter who was just a few months under 16. They would not let her go on the tour.

When did you take it because every tour I've taken they've checked our ID when we've checked in. We've even had security check it before letting us go backstage.

OSHA stands for "Occupational Safety and Health Administration". According to Wikipedia, "it's mission is to prevent work related injuries, illnesses, and death by enforcing rules (called standards) for workplace safety and health."

Basically, it's their job to keep you and everyone else safe on the job-site.
