I'm considering booking the KTTK tour for our upcoming trip and was needing some general information:

Is this offered every day or just certain days? Is it hard to book? What are the start/end times? What is included in the tour?

(I know there are have been postings about the tour before, but the search did not turn up anything.)

Thanks

I think everyday but Saturday. There are about 4 times a day that you can go. All are in the am because tour includes lunch 4 hours long.

Great tour if like the history of Disney and the tunnels

You can call 1-407-wdw-tour for information:wave:

Here are some reviews from this site:

http://reviews.wdwmagic.com/element_reviews.aspx?pid=616

Times vary somewhat....often there are two tour groups staggered by 15 min to 1/2 hour, Start is around 8:30 - 9:00 lasting about 5 hours. Lunch is included. If you book at least a few weeks in advance, and not during peak times, there is usually room. Call the tour booking number for specific information on the date you are looking at. (407) 939-8687
Also know that you must be at least 16 years old. Discounts are given for AP, Disney Visa and with some coupons.

As you can see from the reviews, tours do vary somewhat, but usually include time on Main Street, Adventurland, sometimes special rides on Jungle Cruise and or special admission to HM. You may visit various backstage areas including behind Splash, seeing the barns for the parade floats. Also a quick visit to the Utilidors.

Definitely something worth doing!

Is it hard to book? depends on when you go

What are the start/end times?
830, 900, and 930 the tour last anywhere from 5 to 5 1/2 hrs

What is included in the tour? a lot of cool backstage things and some great information about Walt.

Like a lot of people have said call the tour reservation line and they can give you more info.

I went on the Keys to the Kindom tour in sept. 2006. We had a 7 day park hopper pass so we just went to the guest services building when we went to MK and booked our trip for later in the week. Although we were there during slow season which may be why we were able to do this.
Anyway the tour was excellent, I highly reccommend it.

Not Impressed

I personally would NOT recommend the tour. The quality of the tour deeply depends on the guide. Luckily my DW and I received a 20% discount on the tix.

As our guide explained it to us he received a book approximately 60 pages long to memorize and if he wanted to he could recite random facts and figures to the group but he prefered to "tell stories."

Initially I thought this would be interesting, but what ended up happening was a 5 hour tour based entirely on information you can get from the history channel, discovery channel, and travel channel specials.

It seemed like the guide didn't read the manual but watched the DVDs and spewed the information back to us. We both were extremely unimpressed.

Also, there were two "plants" in the group that assisted the guide by answering his questions when the group was unable to. It was quite interesting and seemed like he had a safety when he was struggling.

Others may have had a great time on their tours sooooo... this is only one man's opinion.

Enjoy!

It's an interesting tour if you've never seen the butt-side of MK but want to - however if you really want to see how WDW works then you should go on Backstage Magic.

Edit: PS, I'm in the brochure for KttK.

does anyone have a list of the tours that are offered at the Magic Kingdom & their length & price. Is it just the two?
