Just tried to make reservation but denied because Bay Lake is not open yet

I just called to try and make a reservation for Hilton Head Vacation Club and was denied because our home resort (Bay Lake) is not open until August 4th. So apparently, I can't book anything before then

Has anyone else run into this problem/

your DVC guide should have went over what your opions were when you signed your contract. But I believe that is correct. When we added points on last yr we were going ot buy into AK which was not opened yet and our guide told us that we woulk not be able to use those points till this yr, so we just decided to add on with our current hm resort SSR, so the points would be there for this yrs vacation.

But you should call your sales guide and have them go over on the time frame on when your points will be available to you.

Trust me I called ours alot when we 1st joined.

You can't make a reservation prior to the occupancy date of your unit. Check your paperwork.

actually we just purchased into Bay lake, and with our points they gave us for this year we just booked saratoga springs for October with no problems. They did tell Bay Lake was booked for the days we wanted to go.

actually we just purchased into Bay lake, and with our points they gave us for this year we just booked saratoga springs for October with no problems. They did tell Bay Lake was booked for the days we wanted to go.

BLT is expected to be open August 4th, therefore, Ming can't make a reservation for Hilton for this summer (Ming didn't say when the reservation was for). And Shurst booked for a date after the scheduled opening.

We too bought BLT, but will bank our 2009 points and use them in 2010.

We were told that the points were available right away and there were 4 of us at the sales pitch and we all remember the same thing

We were trying to book a trip for the 3rd week of July so we have to rethink that and maybe go in August
