I have ridden with him in A mode multiple times so it is no where close to that level. I do find it hard to beleive people say that they didnt see a yeti because really seemed to be right there in your face. Maybe he is sometimes in a different position or something. Another thing that never gets mentioned about everest that I love is the sound effects throughout the ride. They are at times very subtle but really add to the ride.

Thanks..Yeah i think the people who "don't see the yeti" have their eyes closed haha!! :ROFLOL:

I love Patrick Fubar Kumar bob Broken Fix it The Yeti (That is the Yetis name!)

How did you like the Caribbean Beach Resort? We have not stayed there in about ten years. This will be our first time trying it again.

That is a very good point. As soon as you mentioned that I could hear them in my head. Very nice pics!

Thanks for the pics. I'm confused? I also had an update that was posted on the news and rumors page this week and it was moved to the trip report section. Why hasn't this thread been moved? Where should I post my next update? The administrators are confusing the heck out of me. Why isn't this considered a trip report? I had basically had the same report on Epcot? Just shorter.:veryconfu

Rode Nemo for the first time and angler fish was awsome along with the way they have the characters swimming in the real fish tanks. Really is an overlooked gem of a ride in my opinion.

Couldn't agree more. Placement issues aside, it's a great ride.

Animal Kingdom: Steam, bird, and waterfall were all working on Everest and the Yeti was in a position where he was leaning forward and down towards the ride making him seem very close.

Steam was working? That's new to me...

It makes me wonder how many other things he complains about are really just things that he does not have the full story on or is looking at it from the wrong perspective.

He has a perspective that isn't always going to be complimentary of WDW, which is an appropriate one for the site where his stuff is published....

We loved the Caribbean Beach Resort. The main pool, beaches, Caribbean Cay Island, and getting something to eat at the food court and eating it at the tables in the plaza by the fountain our some of my favorite things about it. They have also just recently updated all the rooms with flatscreen tv's. You can also see alot of illuminations from parts of the resort which is cool.

Here are a few more things that I remembered from the trip. Its hard to think of everything at one time when you spend a whole week there.

Magic Kingdom: We saw Dog The Bounty Hunter with his wife being escorted onto Big Thunder Mountain with a large group. I couldn't tell who was actually with him and who was just following them around.

Mrs Potts new Thatch roof looks very nice in person.

Buzz fastpass was giving out bonus CoP fastpasses.

Epcot: Tronorail looks great gliding through Epcot.

The quick service dining spot at the land has very good food. The best breakfast item I had hands down all week was the breakfast Panini.

The construction in Mexico can cause quite the bottle neck on a busy day.

Sum of all thrills has one of the longest lines in Epcot so I still have not tried it.

Animal Kingdom: Despite a few dead limbs and leaves in some trees everything is rebounding nicely from the rough winter. It looked like most all the small landscaping such as shrubs and flowers were either new or survived damage free.

The steam from the train engine was working but there was no mist anywhere on the top of the mountain.

Downtown Disney: Anyone who is on the dining plan needs to go to Wolfgang Puck Express for quick service. It is in my opinion hands down the best deal for a quick service credit. The food is gourmet and they bring the food to your table after you order it and they refill your drinks and clear the table for you. They also use all natural and organic ingrediants.

There are a few marvel items creeping into the stores but not a major invasion anywhere yet.

Also all of the Caribbean Beach Resort merchandise that was for sale last July is now gone. Probably the biggest negative of the trip since I probably would have bought something.

Thanks for the trip report and the pictures are great! I really like the carving of the rabbit. I have never seen it, where is that located?

Glad you had a good time and it's nice to hear positive things.

I just returned from a week long stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort. I could tell the resort was hit hard by the cold winter because alot of the landscaping was newly planted or had been cut back and was just beggining to return. I stayed at this resort last July so It was really easy to tell a difference.

Magic Kingdom: Went here on Easter and to my suprise it was probably the least crowded day at any park my entire visit.

Castle Moat was still partially drained with a scrim around the castle but it was not really noticeable.

Desert party to me is well worth the money. This is the second time I have done it and it makes for such a relaxing night compared to being on main street. A couple of changes from last year were there was a photopass photographer, the buffet now has sneeze gaurds, and you are allowed to bring strollers in instead of parking them outside. They really limit the number of people so having the stroller in the eating area is not a big deal.

There was a dance party at the Tommorowland stage on Friday night with a DJ, dancers, characters, smoke, and a pumping sound system playing everything from Michael Jackson to Journey. There were probably 150-200 people dancing away and having a good time around it.

Epcot: Remy is still making the rounds at Chefs de France and it is really a cool suprise when they bring him by.

Rode Nemo for the first time and angler fish was awsome along with the way they have the characters swimming in the real fish tanks. Really is an overlooked gem of a ride in my opinion.

Animal Kingdom: Steam, bird, and waterfall were all working on Everest and the Yeti was in a position where he was leaning forward and down towards the ride making him seem very close.

Dinosaur was great.

Park was packed but as always if you venture onto the side paths you can sometimes find yourself all alone.

No Fire on Kali.

DHS: Lots of streetmosphere actors were out through my whole trip.

I got the Bogo coupon that Kevin Yee was calling desperate in his update but apparantly he has no idea what the coupon actually said. It was for Bogo meals if you ate before 11:30am or between 2:30pm and 4:30pm. This was to try and get people to eat at off peak times because of the large Easter crowds.

Toy Story Mania que seemed to be in great shape to me.

Despite large crowds for Easter I never ran into any unpleasant CM's or even other guest. I saw plenty of guest doing dumb stuff like stopping in the middle of a walkway to take a pic but never anyone just intentionally being rude or nasty.

Another Great Trip.

I have added pics below with more to come.

I don't believe all rooms have been updated. I stayed in Barbados in November and had the old TV with the Nemo bedspread and paintwork. They've likely worked around more of the property since then, but there are a lot of rooms to go through.

My family and I were at the MK the Wednesday before Easter. There was zero line for the CoP, so as we were heading in we got stopped by a CM and sternly told we couldn't come through that way because it was the Fastpass return entrance. This really perplexed my wife and me because we never knew that the CoP had Fastpass. We even searched around for about five minutes after the show looking for the Fastpass machines, but never found them. But now we know. Mystery solved! Thanks!

I have never ever seen a line for CoP. I like it, but know most think it is kind of boring. That shocks me too to hear there was a FP. Interesting stuff.

Oh and Urban- My devil side is not letting me complete this post without a big ROLL TIDE!!!:D
