As far as PCs go, I think it's best to build one.

In regards to Apple's being "virus and spam free", you're mistaken. Virus and Spyware is written for every type of operating system. However, because Windows is 90% percent of the market... most malicious software is written for them. Apple is no more secure than Windows, it's just not as big a target.

Apple requires an authentication password to install anything in the main directory or make any changes, which is not the case with windows. Also apps will not run on their own unless opened.

All examples given pertained to OS9 when you could drag and drop controll panells in a folder, thus giving viruses a heads up.

I will get one just for some of it's unique software... However I'm short about 99% of the money.... (Garage band looks like a great software... Wonder what i can get for linux thats free or cheap... I know finale is expensive....)
