Ill be going to disney in about 50 days!!! I'm traveling with my family, wife and two kids (ages 5 and almost 2). As well as my sister, her husband and daughter (also almost 2) and my other sister. Because of the young kids and their unpredictable schedules we didn't want to push it with reservations. We chose to do 3 during our 7 night stay, we'll do counter service the rest of the time.

Anyway, our 3rd day we're eating at Rose and Crown.
Our 5th day we're eating at La Hacienda de San Angel. (Wife wants Mexican, Could do San Angel Inn instead)
Our 7th day we're eating at Sanaa.

As mentioned in the title, I'm just looking for thoughts, past experiences and recommended dishes (and maybe pictures if you have them) for these places. thanks!

Rose & Crown is a decent place but not one of my favorites in EP. On a crowded evening the bar section, which is sort of open to the seating area can get noisy. Shepherds pie, or Pan roasted Salmon, and Toffee pudding are my favorites.
I much prefer La Hacienda to San Angel because of the better menu items and the better service I've received. San Angel is much more crowded seating area, noisier... although if youve never eaten there the dark setting and volcano are fun to experience. Try the corn soup, and Tacos de Camarones followed by Empanada de Manzana for dessert... are my favorites
Sanna is great. Lots of unique things to try that you wont find anywhre else.

Sanaa is my favorite restaurant on property. Good choice!
Have had good and bad at rose and crown so hopefully you will be on the good side.
As for La Hacienda, I find it much better then San Angel. Enjoy!

Sanaa is a favorite of ours, particularly if you eat there at a window seat before dark. We like the curry dishes.

The other two we've eaten at only once - good enough food, but we prefer other places in the sea of restaurants that is Epcot.

Well I'm assuming the we should expect it to be crowded and noisy! we'll be there on columbus day, which is obviously also during food and wine. Oh well haha. The salmon sounds like a direction that i'd go in! thanks! Yeah the main thing that turned me off to San Angel is our young kids...its a little easier with the kids if you have at least a little room to spread out. We'll have a group of 8 so cramming in for dinner isn't too appealing. I've heard almost nothing but great things about Sanaa, I'm looking forward to eating there most! (we're staying at AKL)

Thanks! we're staying at AKL, so we HAD to eat at one of their restaurants at least once just to experience the food, culture etc. Thats what i hear a lot about Rose and Crown and actually La Hacienda as well. Think maybe thats just a common theme at restaurants in Disney, and really restaurants in general? We have eaten at Coral Reef a handful of times, was never really thrilled with the food but always went back for the aquarium. Well the last time we went (2013) the food was fantastic! Guess we'll see, hopefully we get lucky!

I have seen some pictures of the seating, it seems they have mostly small tables up against the glass. Is this true? We have a group of 8 eating, do they have big table or booths near the windows? I love spice food, so i may have to try a curry dish!! What other places in Epcot do you prefer? Thanks!

I like all of your choices!

Rose and Crown had a great atmosphere, excellent service, and tasty food (and drinks!). Photos in my TR

I will always pick La Hacienda over San Angel. Been to each twice; both times at La Hacienda the food and service were both excellent, and both times at San Angel the food was meh and the service was questionable at best. Also, I personally don't like eating in the dark so I would pick La Hacienda. Photos in my TR

Sanaa. So good. You must get the bread service. We went while celebrating our anniversary and our server brought us complimentary sparkling wine. Photos in my TR

Since you asked for other good places in Epcot: I like Spice Road Table, Biergarten, Via Napoli, Tutto Gusto (though maybe not the best place with kids-but if you have any adults-only time check it out!), Le Cellier, and Chefs de France. I have photos of all of these in the TRs linked above if you feel like scrolling/doing ctrl+f.

Of the 3 we've only been to Sanaa, and loved it. My kids loved watching the animals. As others have mentioned the bread service with all those dips is amazing (I still crave the roasted garlic!). My kids were 1 and 3 when we went and both enjoyed it.

We've eaten at both San Angel and La Hacienda but not your other venues. I agree with others in that I'd take La Hacienda hands down over San Angel. My personal favorite two dishes are La Hacienda are the tacos de camerones (shrimp tacos) and the Parrillada La Hacienda (serves 2). It's a mixed grill with steak, chicken, and chorizo sausage, vegetables, beans and fresh salsas.

Your reservation at Rose and Crown reminded me of one of our favorite memories. My oldest son Chris was about 18 months and we ate there. It did not take him long to realize who the wait staff members were and he began to yell when one would could by, "Bring Me Chicken!". Wife and I could have died, sunk into the floor or just vanished off the earth. But we were laughing too hard!

Thank you all for the input!! needless to say I'm feeling better and better about our choices! Seems like the general consensus is La Hacienda>San Angel and Sanaa is one of the better places on the property. I can't wait!!!

hahaha thats great!!! He knew he wanted food and wanted it now! hahaha. My son who is now 21 months LOVES to flirt with waitresses. Calling them, waiving and saying hi to them, smiling ear to ear and playing peek a boo. He's a little ladies man haha.

Sanaa is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Disney World! Even my two young kids (age 1.5 and 5 at the time) loved the Butter Chicken. We requested a table by the window, and the kids were able to watch for animals during the meal. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I've had many meals at both La Hacienda and San Angel Inn. Go with the former for better food, go with the latter for the atmosphere. The SAI went through a menu change a few years ago, and is now MUCH better than it used to be. But the food at LH is just incredible!

Eaten at Rose & Crown many times, and one of my favorites (but then again I'm rather partial to English beers!). Nice, lively atmosphere. Have only eaten at San Angel once, and was left with kind of a cold feeling. While the atmosphere is good, we had really bad service on our visit which has steered us away from there ever since. Not the most pleasant waiter.

La Hacienda de San Angel is my favorite! It is such a great restaurant! I love the food, especially the chips and salsa and margaritas! :) Here are some pictures of some of my favorite dishes. The last time I ate there was in 2012 so the items may look a little different now but it will give you an idea of what to expect.

Taquiza (this was when it was an appetizer but it's now on the menu as an entree)

Queso Fundido appetizer

Tacos de Camarones entree

Empanada de Manzana dessert

I have some more pictures of other dishes if you are interested. :)
