I have been looking all over for crowd levels for the last week of August but I can't seem to find any! Does anyone know where I can find this info? Hope it won't be crazy as I am taking my grandson for his first trip!

Normally there is no one there the last week of August but last summer was the busiest I have seen it! Unfortunatly I think the secret is out! Having said that it is still manageable. I think the free dining during this time has increased its popularity.

Hijacking thread (with apologies) - anyone happen to know the temps or crowd levels in DisneyLAND during the final week in August? We're starting to contemplate our first family trip there for summer 2014.

The last week in August is a great time to go. The crowds are low because most of the kids are already back in school and the ones that aren't probably already went on their summer vacation already lol. The only thing about the weather is August is that it is hot and it will usually rain (but that's usually only about 20 mins during the day) Have fun!

According to touringplans.com, you are looking a crowd level of 4-5 out of 10 all week. Pretty good crowd level for August, only downside is it is hotter than hot!

We normally visit during that week or the week before. I can't say crowds have ever been a real issue. The weather? Mmm...but that is no surprise. You might get an uptick due to the Labor Day holiday, but not much of one except for maybe locals.

We went that week last summer and it was the worst Disney experience we have ever had! The crowds were unbelievable and the heat was absolutely unbearable. I thought the crowds would be lower because most kids have gone back to school, but the waits were so long that we missed out on a lot of attractions. I think we waited in line for PPF for over 90 minutes! The only rides we really got to do were ones that we got fps for and even then we had to wait hours for our reservation. Maybe there was something going on that week that we didn't know about? I will never go at the end of summer again.

A lot of schools are back in session so they are lighter. But its blazing hot! :) Do you know about touringplans? They will give you a crowd level prediction for the dates you want. :)

Five trips all in July. What is that round thing in the sky that gives off heat ? I wish we had one in Scotland. Crowds! What crowds? Oh you mean people that are doing the same as your selfs. Your going to WDW so go and enjoy the magic and don't worry about crowds.Just imagine its a huge party, and you've got a invite.;)

We use a crowd calender off a website we found called easyWDW the 2013 calender is on there now it also has the estimated temps for that day, when the EH & LH at the parks are, and which park is the least crowded for that day. We found it quite informative & printed it off and took it with us in July last yr & will be doing so again in July this year
