I thought this was funny and that some of you may get a kick out of it.
We were in DHS during the first week of june, and the two other people in my party went to the bathroom right across from RNR and I overheard the man telling his child that "no, they couldn't ride it, it was closed" he then continued to tell his kid that he was talking to a woman who had been sitting there for 30 minutes and it (Referring to the upsidedown car) had never moved so it must be broken. :ROFLOL:I did let him know differently so hopefully the kid got to ride.

Of course, he may have just been trying to get out of riding it :)

It's bad when your child wants to ride something your're afraid of.

Lying to a kid- a most despicable act.
And at Walt Disney World of all places.

We finally got my wife to ride it by telling her that it was a 'much smoother ride than Space Mountain'.
Did not mention that it turns you upside down three times.

:)

I'm going in 2 weeks and my niece and nephew are hot to get me on TOT. Last time I went with them they got me on R&RC by telling me it was better than Space Mountain also, "no, no, it doesn't go upside down". :D I screamed all the way through it :cry:and they loved the fact that I wouldn't let them "show me up" (it's an Aunt thing, my job is to NOT say "no"!!) I'm actually interested in hearing their "spiel" to get me on.:animwink:

^ now that sounds like my Mom, she knew... she grabbed my hand and squeezed the crap out of it everytime it went upsidedown. I had honestly forgotten that it did (since it doesn't bother me, and it had been several years) but when i read it on the sign i chose not to tell tell her.

Not long after RnR open I rode it several times during the day..I went back to the hotel that night and saw something on the TV about it and saying it went upside down. I never realized that it did. I had to go back the next day to see for myself

I rode ToT with my 60 something mother, who doesn't like thrill rides, and she said it was fun. I told her that if ToT didn't bother her RnR would be kid stuff, and I meant it, ToT is a much more scary ride to me. We got off and I expected her to have enjoyed the ride. Wrong! She informed me that she would NEVER do that again. Just the difference in folk, I guess.
