Hey Gang, I don't expect this thread to last long but just a few things. My wife and I just got back from our first ever cruise and we had a blast. I'd like to thank all of you who answered my questions over the last few weeks. It was everything we could have expected and more. Part of the magic was that there was the DVC magnet on our door despite the fact that I didn't book through DVC. CC was absolute paradise. Being as we had so much fun, we booked our next cruise while aboard. I can see why you all love it so much. Any questions, just ask.

Did you find the gym ok? Food?

Yes, my wife and I found the gym without a problem. We did spin on our first full day and the 5k on CC. We would stop by Cabanas for a quick salad or chicken wrap. The portions were great for a quick snack. I think the only day I really indulged was our day at sea. Although to make up for it we took a few jogging laps around deck 4. The shows were great, the servers, etc. I'm preaching to the choir here. I was also concerned that as two adults it might not be fun, to that I can now say bollocks. It was a perfect starter cruise. In fact, it may be the only line I would sail on. Now I can get really involved with this section. Only 16 months til my next one!

We are doing the same itinerary for June 2014. We may skip Nassau and just do more exploring of the ship.
We traveled on the Dream and had an outside stateroom with verandah on deck 6 forward. It was nice to sleep with the door open and listen to the ocean as we drifted off to sleep. I booked the same room for the next go round. My room was two decks above the Buena Vista Theatre and we did hear the bass from some movies but it wasn't terrible. Being as it was the middle of the ship, there wasn't a whole lot of movement. Also, being starboard, we had a great view of CC as we docked. All in all, it was a great trip.

Big Brother (The Mouse) is watching. Before I even sailed, I got a DVC phone call inviting my wife and I to the Member Gathering on our embarkation day. Again, didn't tell them, but they know.

Oh they know. :)

I think we've only had to remind them once, and in reality I think they just got our room number wrong because some friends we were traveling with got the gifts.

Its still amazing and that is kind of what makes the magic or at least helps with the pixie dust.
