Just got back...

One word.... Awesome.

Just got back into Indy....

Had a great trip to Disney-Epcot,MK, AK, DTD... And then IOA and HHN.

PROS-
-All of the Disney parks I went to were really, really, really clean! I had a hard time finding chipped paint and other things that the Doom and Gloom people claim is running rampant. Only one area needed some TLC which was Dumbo. The line area was in need of a repaint......But wasnt worried since it is being torn down and moved into the new location in the Fantasyland Expansion.Even areas like Toon Town that have issues looked really good.
- CMs were great all over.Seems as if shots of Pixie Dust were being passed out because everyone was great......(except only one in Epcot. Universe of Energy was down and a lady asked the guy why....his response was..."well, what do you expect from an attraction that is 26 years old?"
-Great dinner at Chefs De France.... Food and service was great!
- Loved AK..first time visit... Loved Nemo and Lion King show.AWESOME!!!
- *****Splash Mountain..... Great condition... no gum or graffitti anywhere and EVERYTHING WORKED!!!
-Had some quality time with Son and built a Muscle car with him at RideMakerz.... Hemi Charger with wheely bar and blower.... SWEET!!!
- Had lunch at Bongos in DTD.....OMG THIS IS A MUST DO!!! Cuban Food rocks!!!!

CONS-
- Food and Wine Festival was way tooo crazy... Each food line had about 100 people... Hard to sample food when each kiosk takes an hour to get food.
- Too many drunks also at Food and Wine Festival.
-Impressions De France is in major need of an update... Do the French still have mullets and bell bottoms?

I did notice the major difference between Disney CMs and people who work at Universal. I saw males that had earings, long hair, beards and go tees at Universal. Some were sporting major attitudes as well. One time I even caught myself saying"Yep... sure not in Disney!"

Sounds like an awesome trip! It's nice to see someone who's been recently with a lot of positives to say.. especially considering there are walls up everywhere.

Thanks for the updates =)

Very much agree that it's nice to hear good things! As a former CM, it's especially nice to hear good things about current CMs. And trust me, there are days when a shot of 'pixie dust' would have been great ;)

I just had a thought; I wonder how well of a job Disney is doing at warning guests about all the construction and downed attractions. Obviously there are signs up around property, but are there any other warnings before you get there. If I was going on my first trip, I think I would be a little upset if I didn't know ahead of time.

About Universal...yeah. But to their defense, the expectation for amazing customer service isn't nearly as high as WDW so I can understand the attitude of 'why bother'. I've also heard that they treat their employees the same way. I've heard mixed emotions on how WDW treats its employees, but my experiences were spectacular and I have nothing to complain about. Also, I was most definitely at the bottom of the food chain!

Thanks for the report.

I am going in a few weeks. One of the main reasons we are going is the Food & Wine Festival. When did you go that it was so crowded?
