Just got back

Hi all! I'm back. Had a wonderful time. We left on Dec 2nd, stayed ay All Star Sports for 2 nights, Wilderness Lodge for 3 nights, then on the Wonder for 4 nights. Crowds at the World were moderate according to my expert fiance. We went to MVMCP on Friday night. I thought it was very crowded. The lines were longer then during the daytime. Ave temp was about 72, except for Friday. It was freezing and raining. We met with the Wedding Coordinator who brought us around to some reception sites. I got a chance to walk out on the cat walk atop the Contemporary. WOW! what a view. We chose to have our reception there. The Osborne Lights were fantastic! The cruise was awesome! They treat ya like royalty! Weather was not so great. Very windy and a bit chilly I thought. We did the dolphin encounter in Nassau and snorkeled at Castaway Cay. Nassau was a big giant tourist trap. The people there are very very pushy. Castaway is paradise. There were alot of kids on the ship, but they do a great job at keeping the kids occupied while the adults enjoy and relax. We loved it so much that we booked a 7 day for our honeymoon next Dec. I have lots of pictures. Let me know what ya wanna see. Oh, Mission Space looks really cool!

I would take 14 days at the Wilderness Lodge. Although I've never been on a cruise, I think I would love to have that much time to really explore the hotel and the parks.

Plus, the WL is one of the nicest resorts. You might want to consider 2 or 3 days at another resort also.

Moonchild, first let me thank you for sharing your wonderful pictures with us. This is the first time in three years that we will not be at Disney during the Christmas season. It warms my heart to see your pictures. Second, as to your questions about the vacation, I would do the 5 days at WDW then the cruise. You seemed to have enjoyed yourself on the one you were just on, and I think the variety would be much more memorable for a honeymoon.

Maria, as to your signature, I love the song as well. Are you aware that on the Disney's Holiday Sing-Along CD that Quasimodo from Hunchback sings it. It is very tear inspiring.

32 days to go!

:sohappy:

Moonchild's pictures

Absolutely gorgeous pictures!!!! Had a small tear in my eye when I saw the one looking down Main Street at Cindy's Castle. I can't think of anything more exciting that a Disney Wedding. I've been to 3 and each was different but all excellent. I'd go for the 2 weeks at the WL. Good luck with your wedding. Be sure to post some pictures for us.

Gurú, I had no idea about that cd with Quasimodo singing it. I just love this song and the lyrics are so touching and sooo true!

Moonchild, I would forget about the cruise and stay at WDW for the two weeks. A few considerations:
1.- You will get married in December; the Caribbean is not that warm during that time (only Canadians think it´s summer time ;) hehe). Most likely, you could have a cold front during your travel on the cruise.
2.- You just went in the cruise! I would do the cruise at some other time of the year.... maybe summer? At least now, Cozumel is cool and the water is cold... bbbrrrr! ;)
3.- If you stay on property for 14 days, you have time to basically experience all of WDW! Christmas was my favorite time of the year, so I would love to be able to visit all the resorts and try all the special events during the season.
4.- With two weeks to spare, you could even visit the surrounding areas. Have you ever gone to Saint Augustine? It is a beautiful place -the first city in the USA- lots of history, a really nice fort to visit, and during the Holiday season, the whole city is decorated and it just looks amazing. Worth the trip! You can stay at any of the many "inns" that the owners of old houses have established in them. Very nice!

Just my opinion... :animwink: Thanks for the pictures! Awesome ones! :sohappy:

Moonchild, do you mind if I ask what kind of camera you used? My wife and I arrived on the 6th and left on the 11th. Wasn't the entire World beautiful?!

For my money, do the WL for the entire 14 days. If you can afford it, why not?

We did Port Orleans French Quarter. It was nice, but I wish we'd sprung for the WL.

I think we are both leaning toward 14 days at WL. I really loved it there. I loved sitting in front of the fireplace with a hot cup of coffee. I'll have to ask my fiance about the camera tonight. Ill let cha know

I really have the Disney blues, being in work now:( I dont know how I will be able to wait till Dec to go back. After we sign the Wedding contract, we get annual passes free so maybe we can hop down for a long weekend.
