I beat you to it. Great write-up. Thanks for the tips - I'm certainly going to request a garden view if possible.
If you're for around $200 or less a night, I'd suggest the Value resorts (All-Stars and Pop Century) or the moderate resorts. I've seen that CBR is pretty (I've been staying at All-Star Movies since I started going). But, Pop Century is a very nice resort (rode by it on the ME).
Also, most restaurants don't really have much of a dress code, except for the fancy ones (Victoria and Albert's and Narcisso's, for example). At normal restaurants or Character ones, the only thing you usually have to wear is a shirt (no offensive language, of course, for the kiddies), shorts or pants that aren't very revealing, and shoes!
Sad you even have to say that "no offensive language". I can't imagine anyone wearing anything offensive on a Disney property.
