^ true, but it wasn`t funny. They were everywhere. I`m not calling all of them, but when the Indy queue is out to 50's Prime Time and a good 2/3 of the line has coloured T Shirts in it and the noise is so much you can`t hear any PA Spiels it isn`t funny.

O dear god, you might have to wait another 15 minutes for a ride.

Won't somebody please think of the children! :p

Most of the people in lines had kids, so I guess we were thinking of them . No matter how you try to justify it, it was wrong to hold people back so the tour group could go first........why? Did they pay more money than us? No, they got a much better deal then we did, I'll tell you that. Even the CM at the end (before it splits right and left) was shocked and apologized. That's why she saw fit to hold them back so we regular folks could ride.

To quote Marni..

Maybe that is why.

At the end of the day you were in the Fastpass queue, you were skipping the main one anyway, now if it was the stand-by queue i would have an issue with it. I am sure you wouldn't refuse skipping the queue if you were with a tour group.

And if you would have ridden Soarin with a packed house full of tour-groupers you would have complained about that. Can't win either way.

We just got back from our trip as well and for July the crowds seemed to be a bit more like late August rather than late mid july. We were able to do everything we expected and more...great trip!!:sohappy:

I was at MK last week - Wednesday 7-16 - and it was EMPTY!! we litterly walked on every ride w/o using any fast passes! By 7pm we had ridden every ride at MK!! and when the afternoon rainstorm hit, we pushed a double stroller through the main street shops w/o running into anyone - even the stores were empty. I usually go to WDW in january to avoid crowds, but last week was much less crowded than january.

Welcome to WDWMagic

That night was EMH at Hollywood Studios and I can tell you firsthand that the Studios was packed!

Was there last week as well and I'd have to agree with you.

WDW was very packed in each and every park; especially the water parks.

I'm with you guys, we jsut got back as well. We were there fro mthe 17th thru the 26th and the attendance was a bit more than we expected. When we got to SS on the 17th the resort was not full by any means but from the 18th on we couldn't even park in front of our building. During our stay we managed to hit all of our favorite rides and we didn't skip anything but we were in crowds (like we always are during our July trips) everyday.

Does anyone think this will mean that Seasonal Passholder Blackout dates will be lifted early? They did that a few years ago and it would certainly inure to my benefit if it happens by the end of the week : )

I was at the MK on Sunday, July 20 and I thought it was not real crowded considering it was during summer. We got there around 9:30 and was there until 2:30. Longest ride wait I saw was 40 minutes for BTMRR in early afternoon. I was actually quite surprised at the lower crowd level.

Did indeed see alot of tour groups too. At least someone benefits from a weak dollar!

Just got back

We were also at MK on Sunday, 7/20 and it wasn't bad at all. We rode everything we wanted to and some things more than once. BTMRR at night is cool especially with Wishes overhead! We were there 7/19 (my bday)-7/25. We usually go in mid-June, so crowds seemed heavy to us. Everywhere we went, we saw tour group after tour group--they were so loud and rude. We had a horrible bus ride back to POP one night--they want to be the center of attention and don't care how loud and obnoxious they are. All in all we had a great trip!!:)

man every time i go with my family there is always a really long wait, but when it's just me and my husband we dont have any problems. . . its weird, maybe my family is bad luck. . .

Interesting...I'll be at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot on Thursday and I guess I'll see firsthand...usually we go down to Disney at this time each year and the crowds are quite large.

I was at WDW last weekend and this weekend and the theme parks were packed.

Oh and the Brazilian tour groups are horrendous. I heard a couple of horror stories from cast members and I can understand their disdain for them. :(

The following is a quote from Darkbeer's 7/28 update over at Miceage.

"Disney Business News
This upcoming Wednesday afternoon will have The Walt Disney Company release its Third Quarter results.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1217...googlenews_wsj

Should be an interesting Conference Call, as Disney will be asked a lot of question in regards to the current trend of lower attendance, especially at the Disneyland Resort." [end quote]

I guess we may find something out on Wednesday. I had no idea DL was down, as it seems is being reported.

Yeah, I found that many of the tour groups were very rude this time. Most of them left their trash on the tables whenever they would finish eating at a quick service restaurant when they could clearly see most of the people eating around them getting up and throwing away their own trash.
Also, when I went to Soarin' at the beginning of the day (when the park first opened), there was a tour group waiting outside of the land (I think that they had gotten in somehow before regular guests). There were cast members out there trying to hold them until most of the other guests got into the building but the tour groups started running and ended mixed up inbetween all of the other parties waiting in line for Soarin'. They also kept trying to pull themselves up to the first person in line from their group. Luckily, the cast members inside of Soarin' sent all of the people from their tour group in one direction and sent everybody else in the other direction.

I also found the tour groups very rude this year. On our way to Soarin' inside the tunnel between the character greeting spot and Innoventions, they were in this huge huddle blocking more than half of the walkway and they were doing some song or chant right in the middle of the path! Luckily we just got there as they were ending their song but it was very annoying for them to stop like that right in the middle of a busy pathway.
