Im glad this worked well for you can i ask how doe sthis work?
I booked through a travel agent back in June, Then 10 day out from my trip I went to this site, mydisneyreservation.com/guest and followed the steps. You need your reservation #, last name of primary guest, resort name, and check-in date. It was easy! Best of luck to ya'.

I had asked this before. I want to use the online check in, but I had a building request (Jazz in All Star Music). If I do online check in, will they put me in the building I requested, or just put me where ever they want? (you know when you request a building, sometimes they say there's not any rooms, but if you put up a lil fuss, they find one for you)

I don't remember a place to put in a building request, but I'm gettin' old and they say the memory is first to go..what'd ya' ask again..oh now I remember.. I saw a place on another thread where they said they had called the resort and put in a request and it was noted on thier info when they got there. Hope that helps, never used it before this, first time to wdw.

Good luck! I don't have kids yet but I am a veteran babysitter and know the meltdowns and tricks they pull. You and your children will have a blast and hopefully tire them out so you can get peace and quiet lol. The whole online check in makes wish the trip was like tomorrow! I feel like I'm 5 again! I hope you have a awesome and fun-filled trip!

We just recently got back from 8 nights at Coronado Springs. When I made the reservations with Disney Reservations over the phone, I made sure to let them know that I wanted an updated room. I made sure that he noted this on my reservation. I was a little apprehensive about doing online check-in because of this - I figured it would be better when I got there to be able to "speak to someone" to make sure our request was honored. I mentioned it again to the lady who was at the online check-in area and had no problems whatsoever with having our request honored.

Let me tell you, I would recommend that you do the online check-in too! When we got off the Magical Express and went to check-in, the line for regular check-in was about 6 or 7 families deep and waiting. The line for people who had already done it online was 0!! We were checked in and had all of our stuff in our hands within 5 minutes or so. The people in the other line had barely moved. In fact, I saw one of the mother's in that line saying "why did they get to check-in already" and then she sent her daughter down there to read the sign that said "online check-in." I think she learned what to do next time. :animwink:

I just did the online check-in for our trip next week, and it was quick and easy. I received a link to the online check-in in an email from Disney Destinations ("Your Disney Vacation Is Almost Here GenX Family"). I'm curious to see how much time it saves when we actually check-in.

I was in the middle of doing this, but then you had to read the terms and agreement section. As I'm sure most people skim over this, and I usually do I decided to see what I was agreeing to. I came to the part regarding to express checkout. Long story short, I like to talk to the front desk before I leave, so I did not do online checkin.

We just got back, stayed at POP. I did the on line check in, loved it! Check in was so quick. The only problem that we had was, they put us in 80's. I mentioned that we paid for preferred and requested 60's for medical reasons and they got us a room within minutes. So if you get there and they have you in the wrong building, just let them know and they will change it. Have a wonderful trip!

Used online check in when we went in April. It went very smoothly, even was able to enter credit card info for room charges. Just had to wait behind 2 other people in line waiting for their packets (was 10 min tops to wait and to get mine and go over everything with the CM). My best friend's birthday button was personalized and in the packet. Tickets were ready. Maps and all that good stuff were in it. If I recall correctly, I think they even had my dining ressies and confirmation #'s in it! We just picked it up and off we went! Will only use this from now on!

Another question. I booked a vacation package, but will need my park ticket and room key to be two seperate entities...if I used the online check in, is there a way I can still ask for them to seperate the two? Or is that something that I would have to do in the normal line then?
