DW and I are hard core Yacht Club fans but I gotta say that AKL is absolutely AMAZING and YC may get bumped as our fav. resort. Staying in Jambo House club level and the first few hours have just blown us away. We cant pull ourselves away from watching the animals graze around the savanah. The Kiliminjaro club lounge is soooo relaxing as well. Just had to share our excitement with our extended family here on wdwmagic, now we are going to try and pry ourselves away from the resort and hit MK. I will try to post some pics of the lounge and savanah later today. Have a great day everybody!

Came back to AKL for a mid-day break and hit the club level lounge to see what they have for afternoon snacks!

I need to clear up some misconceptions here. AKL is a horrible resort and all of the pictures you have seen are all Photo Shopped. The rooms are dirty, the views are horrible and the CM's are terrible.

Do Not Go to Animal Kingdom Lodge or Kidani Village!!!!






Just kidding. I just do not want too many people visiting my favorite resort and spreading the word about how nice it is. It is a fabulous place and IMHO it really is the best resort in WDW. Enjoy the remainder of you vacation @wdisney9000. One of may favorite parts is enjoying an evening cocktail on the balcony while watching the animals roam around the savannah or meeting different people @ the fire pit in the evening and talking with the CM about his/her culture. I look forward to seeing more pics from your trip.

Packed our bags this morning and walked the trail of tears to the parking lot and headed home. It was a fun filled four days at AKL and it was even more magical sharing some memories with our friends here on the boards. We will post an official TR tomorrow after we get some sleep.
