So excited:cool: - just booked November 15-22 at POR in a preferred room with 7 day base tickes and deluxe dining (I know many of you think its too much food - but my family is cranky when they do not eat 3-5 times a day - depending on the person.) It will be great. I want to say thanks to all those who have answered my questions in the last little bit as I tried to pick a resort and trip details. I'm sure other questions will pop up in the next bit - this group is great;) Thanks again:D
PS MadHatter your love for POR really helped me make up my mind - I thought I would give the shout out where deserved.

Last trip in 2011 my family felt I was a little in combat mode and DH wants a slower pace this time - so I need to make sure I don't turn him off (at his point he likes Disney but is not sure after this trip he wants to go again.) The goal is to keep is fun and relaxing as to not rock the boat away from The Mouse - the kids and I have an evil plan in the works and his is none the wiser.

With the above quote said, and the fact that you are on the DelDDP of 3 TS credits per night, you may want to be very considerate of how you space and use those credits to gaurd against the "Commando Diner" vacation. Imagine a day with three separate ADR's mixed in with park touring and how that would look and feel, then multiple that by 7 (days). So planning is important to pull that off. Not down to the minute OCD planning, but just good sense scheduling that does not self-conflict. Obviously, I do not know you, your family, or your situation, etc., but I would say:

I think the poster that suggested getting hoppers is onto something. Otherwise, your TS choices are limited to those offered at one park each day, or you have additional commuting involved to eat at resorts, creating more running around, which is counter to slower pace usually.
I know you said they like to eat 3-5 times a day. Remember on the plan you are on, you will get an app, entree, and desert. It is a lot to eat. We went to signatures and had two big meals a day(1 credit TS + 2 credit TS). We used snack credits to piece together light breakfasts, or get through lunch. This meant only two "appointments" to keep each day, which is condusive to a relaxed pace. If your husband is a foodie, he may enjoy quality over quanity. Do not want to take the kids to a bunch of really nice places? Go to Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue one night. Another way we accomplished this is by using a TS credit on check in day and check out day, spreading it around a little.
Lastly, there is a great 1 credit TS place at your resort in Boatwrights. Fewer things can be relaxing as a good TS meal right there at your resort.

Thanks for the advice - I was kind of thinking along the lines of x2 sit down meals per day - doing some signatures and character meals. I want to try to keep things relaxed and I'll have DH pick what is important to him - I would say food quality is important to him. Last time we went to a few buffet style meals he did not care for - but I can say we all liked Chef Mickey's - and LeCellier (the kids thought it was funny that we went to Florida to eat in Canada - we are Canadian.) I think for DH's comfort a few more signatures may be in order - he really likes good quality food - and the kids will sit for some longer meals if we do their stuff before and after. I really would like to try Hoop-Dee-Doo as well. Thanks for all the encouraging advice - it is appreciated.

Riverside is beautiful! You will have a wonderful time! And if you have a night to do so, make sure you visit Yehaa Bob Jackson at the River Roost Lounge. Such a fun way to end a day in WDW!
