Just Booked POR

So excited:cool: - just booked November 15-22 at POR in a preferred room with 7 day base tickes and deluxe dining (I know many of you think its too much food - but my family is cranky when they do not eat 3-5 times a day - depending on the person.) It will be great. I want to say thanks to all those who have answered my questions in the last little bit as I tried to pick a resort and trip details. I'm sure other questions will pop up in the next bit - this group is great;) Thanks again:D
PS MadHatter your love for POR really helped me make up my mind - I thought I would give the shout out where deserved.

You will love POR! Relaxing atmosphere, the grounds are beautiful, good foodcourt, boat to DTD, and, IMO, Boatwright's is a hidden gem. Try to request building 14 or 15, last time we went, we went with preferred and got building 27. That wasn't very preferable.

. Excellent..Wish it was me..Don't forget to toss your dime into the Sassagoula river from the bridge,close your eyes,and make a wish..;)

I will be there first week of June. First time at POR. I am excited since reading these posts. Have always heard great things on POR. We have 5 people in our family and have always stayed in adjoining rooms at value. We thought we would try something different this year. Have fun everyone!!!!

Thanks for all of the great and encouraging replies. My kids are supper excited about the pool and slide. My boys also want to go fishing and my daughter wants to get her hair wrapped. I just want quiet - for a bit anyway. Thanks again - now the fun stuff begins. Counting down at 241 days;)

Not sure about the Christmas party at this point - we will wait until the dates and times of that come out before we make our choice. Last trip in 2011 my family felt I was a little in combat mode and DH wants a slower pace this time - so I need to make sure I don't turn him off (at his point he likes Disney but is not sure after this trip he wants to go again.) The goal is to keep is fun and relaxing as to not rock the boat away from The Mouse - the kids and I have an evil plan in the works and his is none the wiser.:eek:
