Just booked free dining 8/18-26

Hey guys!

Just booked yesterday for August 18-26th at AS Movies. This is our first time with free dining although we've used the dining plan on every trip since it's been offered. It's also our first time at AS Movies. I booked in the morning, quickly planned out our dining for the week but when I called to make ADRs the system was down. Yesterday was exactly the 90 day mark for us. I called back around 2ish and got everything we wanted but had to shuffle things around quite a bit from my original days. The hardest to get were O'hana and Le Cellier. I took the last spots available for lunch or dinner during that week, with us eating at 4pm for both of them. I figured it was worth it to take whatever they had since they are so hard to get ADRs for.

Anyone else going that week? Where have you booked ADRs? We are trying Teppen Edo for the first time and I'm really excited about it. I just checked the park hours for the week and Wishes isn't listed for the whole week. I'm assuming that it just hasn't been posted yet and will be playing that week.

I'm so excited, it will be our first trip in 2 years, the longest we've ever gone without a trip! I surprised my husband with the trip for our anniversary yesterday and we'll be celebrating his birthday while we are down there. :sohappy:

Congratulations! I'll be able to make my ADRs in a few days. I've been hearing that LeC, 'Ohana and the Fantasmic dinner packages are all very hard to get now.

It's interesting there are still free dining plan rooms left at All Stars. In past years they'd have been booked up by now.

We will be staying at ASMu during the same time frame. I called yesterday for ADRs and got in right away. I'm a little worried about my ADRs since the system went down. :( We are going to EPCOT only one day and the only time for LeCellier was 2:45pm. The other TS reservations are O'hana, Boma, Cape May, Chef Mickey, Sanaa, Tusker House and Wolfgang Puck Cafe. We are eating early each day so I didn't have to change my itenerary. Free dining ADRs appear to be difficult to obtain this year, even with rooms available. POP is usually booked up by now.

Hey guys...I'll be there the same week at All-Star Music as well . I think I was lucky with my ADR's, got everything I wanted, most importantly CRT for my niece's 8th birthday celebration.

Luckily I got in before the system went down. It's so stressful trying to get ADR's anyway and I can just imagine when people found out there were computer issues. I'm going to call and confirm all my ressies just in case.

See you guys there! (of course I won't know you and you won't know me but we may actually see each other...lets all post some pictures and maybe we'll find each other in the background...that would be cool...or creepy, I haven't decided yet) :lookaroun

Have a fun trip...and happy (early) anniversary!

I'd love to hear about Teppan Edo, my DH and I are thinking about other dining options and we had considered that or Tokyo Dining (I think that's the name of it...)

Hopefully the weather will hold out for us! I'm always nervous about the end of August with the heat and possible hurricanes but that is the only time we can go in the near future. I'll take whatever I can get!

I tried for POP since that is our value resort of preference but they were booked. We like it because it has a seperate bus than the other AS resorts. Then I tried Sports since thats the first stop on the AS resort loop (it was the last time we stayed there anyway) but they were booked as well. All that was left was a preferred room at Movies. I decided to take whatever they had.

I don't mind moving stuff around, we park hop all day long anyway. It's very rare that we ever spend the whole day in one park. I really want to try Tusker House and Boma's breakfast buffet as we've never been. We've done breakfast ADRs in the past and then never feel like going and end up cancelling. Our other ADRs are as follows: The Plaza for arrival night, Le Cellier, San Angel, Teppen Edo, O'hana and our personal favorite the California Grill on my husband's birthday.

I'm confused. I thought I read on the Disney website, that the free dining is only for moderate and deluxe resorts, and if you book the moderate, you just get the quick service plan.

The free dining is available at all Disney resorts but there is a limited number of packages for each resort. The package that you is the "Plus dining" package which is one table service, one quick service and one snack per day.

I have already booked my table service res. and was advised that for the signature dining that two table services will be deducted from my plan (which is standard) so I know we have that one.

That was the case for one promo for UK guests. The current promo advertised heavily here includes regular DDP for deluxe, mod or value.

I'll be there with my girlfriend that week as well. Actually, 22-29. I did not know that was when hurricanes liked to hit Florida :dazzle: Hopefully we get some great weather! I can handle the heat, but the rain will make things difficult. I have been there before when it rained most of the week. We just pressed on!

We go during hurricane season every year, and still haven't run into one. It always rains some, but usually not enough to affect our plans.

We stayed at Disney in 2004 during Hurricane Charley. We stayed in the CBR. I have to say that we were very pleasantly surprised with how awesome everything was handled. Should have known I guess. We hunkered down in our room and rode out the storm to Disney full length feature movies playing on TV. We also had a wonderful CM stop by and bring us some ice and make sure we were ok just before the storm got good and going. True to Disney style not a glitch was found after the storm. Mind you the storm hit on our first day at the parks and we didn't miss anything. CBR never lost power and as soon as the storm passed the parks reopened except for TL and AK because of tree damage. We were from Florida and had driven in so we were quite shocked when we left the following week and saw the real devistation all along our way home. I can't believe how fast and wonderfully Disney got things up and running and seeming as if nothing at all happened. They even put up the people from the campgrounds in our resort and I am sure at others as well. Awesome job!!! I would never worry about being in Disney for a hurricane. Most of the Florida residents actually try to make ressies when they know a hurricane is a comin.....I know I did it too!!! No worries to you and your family... go and enjoy your vacation!!!

That was a promo for UK residents. US residents always get the regular dining plan at ANY Disney resort.
