Just back from WDW counting down to Dec!!!!!

Well I just got back from WDW this afternoon and I am already having withdrawals.......ugghhhh!!!!!! well you guys will have to be patient with me bc this is my first trip report, so i'll get to it.....starting with the cast:
Lisa (me) 29
Jeff (DH) 29
Cyndi (SIL)
Michael (BIL)
Mikayla (DN) 11
Sherri (MIL)
Bob (FIL)

Our flight left from Austin at 8:15 am on May 8th. so we had to be up and in the car at 4:45am for the drive to the airport. But hey we were going to DISNEY!!!!!!! so we were bright eyed and bushy tailed that morning ready to begin our adventure. Me, DH, MIL, and FIL met up with my SIL, BIL and DN at the austin airport at 6:30am grabbed some tacos and got ready to board. we arrived in orlando and were on our way to the Shades of green resort by 11am. We had a big day ahead of us after check in. we has ressies at Trex and tickets to LaNouba that night. We got into our rooms and my DH and i wandered around the resort for a while. Time came to get ready and off we go to DTD for our 6:15 ressies at TREX. It was fabulous. We were seated in the "underwater" area near the ice room. The food was great, we all had the boneyard buffet with is BBQ chicken and ribs......sooooo good!!!!!!!! The place itself is loud, but where in WDW is it not???? So we finished up and had bout 1 hour before LaNouba. We wandered the shops of DTD and got to the Cirque arena just in time. The show was AWESOME. everyone should see it at least once. It was definately worth the money. Our favorite was the little CHinese girls with the yoyo things. they are sooo cute. anyway......it was very late that night and we were exhausted by that point. so back to the resort it was for us. Up next day 1 in the parks MK ALL DAY!!!!!! with EMH from 10pm-1am!!!!!! more TR to follow.....hopefully along with pics!!!!!:sohappy:

Day 1 in the Parks!!!!

ok......well day one we were using our Get a day/give a day passes to spend Mother's day at Magic Kingdom........FYI i am a mother but my little girl was not on this trip as we feel that she is not quite ready to venture to the world yet, but before feeling sorry for her she is going on our dec 10-16 2010 trip for her 4th bday. So this was kind of a last hoorah for the DH and myself. Anyway, we were up and running for park opening and as soon as the rope dropped my DH and myself were headed straight for Big Thunder mountain........its my DH's favorite. my in-laws were at the resort bc my MIL got sick the night before and didnt even get to see LaNouba bc she had to go back to the room. Not a good start for her trip. We then hightailed it over to DH 2nd fav ride....PIRATES!!!!!!!! now if i can get the pic uploaded, you will see that he thinks he is a pirate. He has a Jack Sparrow pirate hat and had been growing out his goatee for MONTHS. the night before we left he had me braid and bead it and wore the hat......and yes i got a pic. It was hilarious......luckily i convinced him to shave it before we left to the airport......back to the TR....we were practically walking on to every ride. It was great. after POTC we were off to one of my favorites.....HAUNTED MANSION!!!!!!!! I love this ride! this trip was mostly for my DH and me but we were also doing some research on the rides my DD would be able to do in Dec. We rode Peter Pan's Flight, Snow white's Scary adventure, and the Many adventures of Winnie the pooh. They were sooo cute....she will love them. It was lunch time then and we really wanted to try out Columbia Harbour House.....let me tell you if you havent tried it this is a MUST DO!!!!! it was super yummy, we both had the fish and chiken baskets and they were delish......way above par in my opinion for counter service. we then continued on to make a quick go through Toontown and then off to tomorrowland where we got fast passes for space mountain and since standby was on 30 minutes we got in line. by the time we got off it was time to use FP so we got on again.....we both thought it was a great coaster. he queue was much more entertaining with the games thay added after the refurb. We then walked through a couple of shops and decided to head back to Shades of green for a rest before dinner ressies at Liberty Tree Tavern. We headed back to the parks by 5 and headed straight to LTT that was good....as usual. we always go here at least once for dinner. And we go to WDW about twice a yr (May and Dec) with 7 people eating the waiter really had to stay on his toes and kudos to him bc he did ( i wish remembered his name bc he was great) after dinner we were of to ride BTM 4 times in a row and HM twice and this was before EMH. This is how we like WDW....no waiting!!!!!!! I did have one first this evening though......bc of all the hype i heard on here about dole whips and pineapple floats, i had to have one. My DH and i both got pineapple floats (pineapple juice with pineapple dole whip) OMG i was in love........you guys were right, this ended up being the first of many Thank goodness in dec we are staying at the poly bc they have dole whip on hand bc now i need my dole whip fix!!!!!! WOW they are GOOD!!!!! we kept on tr__________g along riding BTM and HM a few more times and watching philaharmagic. The only thing we missed was monsters inc bc it closed literally one minute before we go there.....i was so sad i think its too cute. we did do the stitch thing and i was soooo not impressed and though it kinda needs to be replaced...ASAP!!!! ExtraTERRORestrial was soooo much better IMO. but ot eash his own i suppose. we decided to call it a night since it was EMH at AK. And the beginning of our Military salute 4day ParkHopper with waterpark and more option.........so day 2 soon to come bc im sleepy since this morning i woke up in WDW and now am sadly back in TX (although im picking up my DD3 at her grandmas house tomorrow and i am sooooo happy to get her pack to me) more to come.......DAY 2:wave: ANIMAL KINGDOM!!!!!!!!

Day 2 AK and DHS

well day 2 started EARLY!!!!!!!! we were up and ready to go for EMH by 7am......the whole gang was supposed to go but when it was time to board the bus at 7:30 only my DH and myself were there so off we went alone.....we had a blast. Not that we dont enjoy the family time but we get so much done with 2 people as opposed to 7. We immediately ran toward our fav AK attraction.....Expedition Everest. We grabbed a fast pass and got in the stand by line bc it said 10 minute wait.........well it was WALK ON!!!!!!!!!!! we were sure that we would need the FP for the 2nd ride, but by 8:30 (the park opened for EMH at 8) we had ridden EE FOUR TIMES!!!!!!!!!! It was great, we never even used the FP's. THe morning was off to a wonderful start. THe only compaint i have it that the Yeti is B mode is just lame!!!! come on disney........FIX IT PLEASE!!!!!!!! A mode was so much more exciting!!!!!!! From EE we went on to Kilamanjaro Safaris and it was great as well.....the amimals were all on the move. We saw so much more than usual. THen we were onto Dinoland USA were we took a spin on Dinosaur, Primival Whirl, and Triceratops Spin........all of which was accomplished by 9:15 AM!!!! WE had such luck missing lines and walking on EVERYTHING!!!!! By this time the rest of the pack had arrived at AK then we all went to see Its tough to be a bug!!!!!!! SUch a cute show, i hope the rumors are not true about them getting rid of this show bc that would not be cool.........by this time all were a bit hungry so we were off in search of food.........which we found at Yak & Yeti (table service). It was ok.......i had the honey chicken and it was good but nothing special. after lunch the rest of the pack ventured to Kali RR but my DH and I passed on the hour long wait to get drenched and opted to go back to SOG to relax before venturing on to DHS. Well the little is calling out to me so i will have to finish day 2 later.........:p

Day 2 Part 2 DHS

Well we headed back to SOG for a shower and a rest bc let me tell you it was HOT!!!!!!!!!! the rest of the pack was just heading back by the time DH and i were headed back into the fray at DHS. Once in the park we headed straight for the "thrill corner" for TOT and RNRC we were able to ride both with .......NO WAIT!!!!! can you believe it???? we did 2 rounds on TOT followed by 2 go rounds on RNRC. IT was sooo much fun. after that we had to buy the pic from RNRC bc my DH had the great idea that we should stick our tongues out for the pic....it was hilarious(still trying to post the pics) we then wandered some shops and took a spin on TSMM with only a 50 minute wait......this is unfortuately considered good for this ride for those of you who dont know. the ride was fun as usual but this was the only time we waited this long for anything!!!!!!! we finally found the reast of our family and it was time for our ressies at 50's Prime Time.......what fun this was!!!!!!!!!! We had "uncle Dale" waiting on us and he was awesome!!!!!!!!! DH and i had the fried chicken.....OMG it was the best meal EVER!!!!!!!! Words cant describe how good this was!!!!!! DH had cobbler for dessert while i had the brownie sundae...again fabulous!!!!!!!!! BY this time it was already 1 1/2 hrs into EMH and we decided to call it a night bc we had early morning at EPCOT the next day..........so thats it for now.....sorry its brief but im new at this and my little one is coming down with something....soon to follow....day 3 EPCOT and MK:wave:

Day 3: EPCOT and MK

sorry its been so long but life gets in the way of course (sick child, graduations, LAUNDRY, planning my daughters 1st trip to the world in Dec...yay) but here we go, now the details are getting a bit fuzzy by now but i will give it a shot. we were up early for EMH at Epcot. ate at the garden gallery buffet at SOG (which is awesome by the way) we headed up to the TTC to catch the monrail to Epcot, as soon as we hit the parks our first stop was and will always be.....SOARIN' we love love love this ride. we asked the CM if we could ride in row 1 section B (this for those of you who dont know is the highest row in the center and the best seats ever) of course soarin' was great as usual. we then parted ways with my inlaws so they could grab a bite to eat at sunshine seasons and headed off to test track with DH and sister in law, her hubby and my niece. only waited 5 minutes and we were off and riding. my DH and i then ventured off on our own and explored Tiana's wedding bayou (part of Flower and Garden Festival) and the butterfly garden. we then headed to Innovations East and West where we had a blast on the Sum of all Thrills. This ride is soooo cool! we built the best jet coaster and then got to ride it. they stick you in this capsule with your legs dangling out which is strange but fun. after exploring the innovations pavilions we then went to club cool for coke from around the world. we know better than to try the beverly (we made that mistake a few years back) we enjoyed all of the other flavors while we watched and laughed at others who fell victim to the beverly......i know its wrong, but sooo funny!:ROFLOL:we then decided to wander over to the world showcase to see if we could get a walk in at Nine Dragons. We were able to be seated right away since we got there right as it was opening. it was great as usual, my DH got his favorite thing on the menu, Canton Pepper Beef, and i tried the Nine Dragons fried rice (new for me) and it was delish, and a huge serving as well. we had the potstickers as an appetizer and they were wonderful as well. we then hopped over to lotus blossom to have mango smoothies. They were so flavorful and refreshing. we then decided to meander around the world showcase all the way to the exit, stopping only to see Jasmine (DH's favorite princess) and hit the monorail back to the TTC and on the bus back to SOG for some relaxation. DH and I laid around for an hour or so and freshened up then headed off to MK for the rest of the evening. We had a sort of "redo" of our previous day at MK, Haunted Mansion, POTC, BTMR (3 times), Jungle Cruise (we had and awesome skipper too, he was hilarious, i wish i could remember his name), we caught a bite to eat at Pecos Bills Tall Tale Inn and headed off to the shops on Main Street on our way out, but not without stopping at the Main Street Bakery for treats, Dh had a fudge brownie a la mode while i indulged in a homemade ice cream cookie sandwich which was to die for good!!!!!! we then made our way out and headed back to SOG for the night. Next Installment of my TR is the first of our "non-park" days. Day 4 Downtown Disney!!!!!

Yes
My guess is T-R-U-C-K-I-N-G! They edited it on mine to.. the u-c-k is a tip off for works starting with 'F'. Pain in the butt, though, as 't-r-u-c-k-i-n' very appropriately describes a trip to Disney.

Hahaha okay. I dont know why I couldn't get that? I cant even use too early in the AM as an excuse!

Ding ding ding......you have answered correctly! that is the word that is being edited out........kinda silly but ok. I agree this word very accurately describes moving through the World! Now I will have to find another word to use so my TR doesnt end up with so many ______ (blanks) in it.....lol:ROFLOL:

Day 4 Downtown Disney and Relaxation!

Well ther is not too much to say about this day but i will give you what ive got! we actually slept in today.......and it felt wonderful. Once we were up and running we decided to indulge once again in the breakfast buffet at SOG's Garden Gallery. we then hopped on the bus to Downtown Disney. we started on the westside near DisneyQuest. We slowly made out way through the shops ( i love the candy shop there, DH love the cigar shop) stopping for a while at Ridemakers (the DH also loves cars) we decided to grab some lunch when we got the the marketplace at Fulton's Crab House. It was ok food (nothing impressive in our opinions) but the service was excellent to say the least. It was a pleaseant lunch even though the food was lacking. We then headed over tho the world of Disney where we made our "Big" purchase of the trip and had it shipped home. We spent about $400 in there......but it was totally worth it and we got 10% off since we used a Disney Visa card........for those of you who dont have one, you should all totally get one. You get disney dollars for every 100 dollars you spend. we are saving them all up for our december trip with our daughter. anyway, after that shopping spree (where i scored a silver and crystal mickey watch) we decided to head over to basin (one of my favs) to searn some more disney dollars (LOL) and then to grab some chocolate and ghiradeli(sp?) we then grabbed a cab back home(SOG) to rest before our ressies at my fav.......BOMA. it was another fabulous meal. We left stuffed and happy and slowly waddled..lol...to our cab and headed in for the night. Next up Day 5....Typhoon Lagoon!!!!!!!!!!
