Just back from the DREAM!

One thing I loved--getting up really early on our Nassau day, going up to the top deck with some coffee, and watching the ship dock.

What time was that roughly, when we cruised on the Wonder we just happened to walk up to the top deck as we were docking and it was a nice time and would like to do it again.

Brian,

I don't know what time the ship docks in Nassau, but I'm pretty sure that they post the arrival times somewhere. It might be on the "Trip Data" screen on the TV, or in the Personal Navigator. If I'm wrong about that, though, I'm sure somebody in Guest Services can find out for you.

My wife and I often talk about taking a Disney Cruise.. but I am TERRIFIED about the prospect of my getting sick on the boat!!!

I have motion sickness (sick on orange mission space, star tours, tea cups, even on the bus transportation if we have a "hurky jerky" driver and I don't face the front.

The thought of being stuck on a ship for 4 or 5 days and being miserable on it..along with the financial part.. makes me wonder if we will ever give it a try..

I've heard of the pills, and the patch, but I have friends who used both and still got sick on the cruise..

What do you all think.. I guess I should just stay away, huh??

We were there with 13 people and no one came even the slightest bit close to feeling sick. The motion is really minimal, and you only notice it from time to time. I had similar thoughts before leaving, but ultimately did nothing, and it was not an issue. So, that's just one person's opinion, but I think you'll be just fine.

I have motion sickness too. No Star Tours, Body Wars, Tea Cups and Mission Space is completely out of the question. I get sick in cars if I can't see out the window straight ahead.

We took a 3 day ferry to Alaska when my husband was stationed there. At one point we crossed open water (very rough) and I threw up for about 2 hours.

Our first cruise was about 6 months after that and I was rather worried.

The ships are just huge though. They don't move like rides and small ships. There is usually some movement the first night when you cross the gulf stream, and after that you will barely notice you're moving.

I take non drowsy dramamine every day as a precaution and I have never thrown up on a ship. On our Mediterranean cruise we had one day where the waves were approaching 20 feet (that's very rare) and I did have to lay down. But I slept through it and was fine.

I can't promise you won't get sick, but I can tell you the odds are you won't have any problems.:)

it's not all magic and pixie dust.....

I will say that the ship it's self is amazing, and some of the cast members were amazing and went above and beyond to try and fix what had gone wrong.... and in the end it was a great time and we are going back again.

Yeah I am a little worried about the sickness too. My son gets car sick and I get sick on rides, but I am bringing medication just in case.
Thanks for all the tips, keep them coming!
