Jurassic Park Triceratops Encounter today, almost everything still there!

I really wish that we had gotten the chance to experience this.

I know that it wasn't much, and may not have been any good, but I would have loved to have seen it - was happy when it was open Summer 2011, but it closed just before we got there!

If you got good performers who were into the whole thing, it was great. The Trikes were incredibly realistic when new, and when they worked.

I also don't recommend doing this, as there are cameras back there, and it's a good way to get booted from the park. Not exactly abandoned, either - although the queue needs a good sweep, the show building is kept up and there are people in and out of it.

I remember this attraction like it was yesterday. And last time I was at Islands of Adventure, I saw the ride's entrance and the sign hidden by dense brush. It was pretty neat to even see the entrance!

But yeah, that video was kind of eerie.

Really creepy like the River Country video that was doing the rounds.
I did this attraction when the park first opened... it was actually kinda neat. I'm not sure about repeat views but I enjoyed it at the time. I really hope their is a JP expansion.... i'm still praying for a jeep ride.

Says published July 18th 2012. I wanna know how he didn't get in trouble.

If you walk around like you own the place, you won't get stopped. If you stop and look around like a deer in the headlights, you will get asked to leave, or escorted out of the area.

Example: I wear business casual to the parks a lot (as I go after my real job), and there have been a few times when I walk up to the turnstiles with purpose not really looking at anyone and just give a nod, and they have simply opened the Guest with Disabilities gate for me to walk right through.

Sure I have my premier annual pass I could pull out and scan, so I am not really getting in for free. But it is because of how I look and approached the turnstiles that they simply assumed I worked there.

Several people have done this, both before and after the (somewhat) recent temporary reopening. Personally, I don't know why they bother. It's not that interesting, and not worth getting caught for. But hey, it's better to trespass through Triceratops Encounter than the bottom of the River Adventure drop...

Yeah, I've seen a video of the same guy frolicking through the former Nickelodeon building, apparently oblivious to the fact that it's still in use.

I remember seeing the Triceratops Encounter when I was younger. It was pretty neat and as a kid, I totally thought it was real.
I asked about it in 2008 when we went and no one knew what the heck I was on about in the parks. It's a shame because it's a really good attraction and surely it can't take that many people to run it?
Meh, open it back up!

Edit: and them lifeless and missing parts like that just creeps me out. Eugh why do they do that to animatronics?
On another note, I've watched a few of this guys videos, they're pretty neat. www.adamthewoo.com I think it is.

I find it utterly ridiculous that this attraction is in the middle of the park and is just wasting away. That is as bad as Wonder's of Life.
