Jungle Cruise: What's The Point?

Not likely seeing a rehab anytime soon though...just had one around last year. It's got charm. So I think we have come to the conclusion

Jungle Cruise does have a point.

Ladies and gentlemen watch your step as you exit, and if you feel wet as you exit...you probably have gotten out on the wrong side of the boat.:lol: :wave:

To be honest......I am a Jungle Cruise fan but I kind of see the point. I also wish they would add something new in place of it. Animal Kingdom serves the safari purpose.

I think we have pretty much covered that... yes AK has the real safari purpose...but JC has the magical feel which of course...fits right in with the feel of "Magic" Kingdom.:sohappy:

i think you need to look at the atlas! they are both fake done in different styles for different purposes with different results
i loved both of them

I know you are not referring to me? :D I never said JC animals and natvies were fake..

I know very much what it is..its Magic..that is why I said it was Magic. Hence the Magic Kingdom.

*whispers* truth be told the only thing really not real on the Jungle cruise...are the skippers..shhh.:lol:

Actually, with the amount of talk going on and the hinting on the internal...a rehab is in the talks. Actually, there are a few things that are definetly going to be done. Do a thread search and you can find them. Our dock is one of the biggies. It'll be interesting to find out what's rumor and what's actually going to be done. What you're thinking of was the river drainage during fall '04. Not a rehab, but a cleaning project--and an elongated one due to the hurricanes that year.

BTW, the Chief looks fantastic. For those who don't know, Cheif Namee took a brief vacation. He got a hair cut and drank a few redbulls and now he moves like no one elses business. I know that's kinda hairaising, but he's gonna be turning a few heads now.

I heard from skipper Lexi on a forum that there was not anything planned to soon that she new of due to the fact of the decent sized? rehab in the end of 2003? Given the fact that it was 3 years ago..but I figured another attraction might be on the list. I really am not trying to sound in the know or anything..do not get me wrong..I would love to see things sharpen up as always..Last I saw things looked great..and Cheif Namee does look better!

Hope to be working there in the scary..sometimes dark..but always "campy"(pun intended) jungle next year!:lol: :D

The 2003 rehab was as Jeremy said a river cleaning and upkeep project. It was extended because of the hurricanes dumping new debris into the river. The rehab did see the removal of the faux rainforest canopy allowing a natural replacement to grow in on its own.

yeah clean up lol right well we tried anyhoo! darn hurricanes swooped all our hard work and put it right back in the river. rehab got nothing accomplished in my opinion, just ask a fello Hippo!

yes it is a classic that should never change like the tiki room they murdered it by putting annoying eyago and zazue in it. so imagine how much worse they can possibly make it

DL's Crusie was greatly plussed recently. Among the additions are: A water cannon that explodes just in front and behind the boat, a piranha attack, more animatronics, and more convincing animontronics. There are many more special effects. They also actually use blanks in the guns, instead of a sound cue.

Sorry to bump the thread, but yes I do. Bwana Bill, Baron of the Jungle. He and his son both work at Jungle. Really cool guy.
