Haven't watched the video and WON'T. Will be seeing it all for myself in person next weekend. But just based on reaction about it over the internet it sounds generally positive. But I'm ALWAYS up for change, I don't believe these rides should be museum pieces. Add whatever you want. just as long as its a good change. Hopefully this one is too.

Looks like they added some sort of hut on the water right where that alcove near loading was. Not a fan. I liked that little alcove. It created more of a sense of place then having a huge hut right there at the loading area looking out of place.

Ahhh modern Disney. One step forward. Two steps back.

I'm trying to stay away from ride videos, but I'd make a small exception if there's somewhere I can see this. I'm curious because there has been some structure in that alcove for a long time and I'd like to see if it's the same. If it is the one I'm thinking of, the scale has always been a bit wonky; some have said that it looked better before 1995 because that refurbishment extended the dock, bringing the hut closer.

Has it? If so I’m glad that it didn’t go in that alcove that I appreciated. I saw it on a FB video where’s he’s watching the video Disney put out today that he purposely paused at that scene where Chris Beatty is talking. Just a quick glimpse. If it’s always been there then neither me or Fresh Baked Dave ever noticed. He framed at is if the hut was placed where the alcove was.

Thank you, from your description I was easily able to find the image and I don't recognize that hut either.

EDIT:
Here is the one I was thinking of:

The same country the white Pirates are from?

Why do we need to know what exact country any AA is from ?
We don’t need to know, which is the point I was making. JD mentioned that the culture of the natives was now gone. But we all know there was no specific tribe from a specific country. There was no culture and therefore there’s no absence of culture, hence why the Natives being gone doesn’t mean much.
