Jungle Cruise merchandise and other missed opportunities

If you leave EE there is Serka Zong, where you can buy anything from books to towels. If you leave the ToT there is a big store, the same in PotC etc.
But if you leave the Jungle Cruise? Nothing. The same with the Haunted Mansion. Does anyone know why Disney doesn't feature merchandise for some of the most popular rides?

Not sure why Jungle Cruise doesnt have a gift shop, I guess it wasn't thought of back when they designed the attraction.

I dont mind walking thru gift shops after the attractions as long as they have unique items, they start turning those into cookie cutter stores like the rest and I will be upset.

I like the fact you can get TOT related items, and Aerosmith and EE items in their stores

Would love some Jungle Cruise items

I agree that HM and JC lack merchandise. I would also say the same about Space Mountain, but I haven't been to the world after the refurb so I don't know if that issue has been addressed.

I like not having to go through the store at the end of every ride. That's part of what makes Jungle Cruise great! Haunted Mansion has a cart outside, nearby, and that isn't so bad either. But the Pirate shop, and the pooh shop... well, it gets a little tiring.

The cart sells nearly no attraction merchandise, only one or two t-shirts, everything else is not attraction merchandise but kind of halloween stuff. And in EE and ToT I believe you don't have to walk through the shop but it is there for those who like attraction merchandise. The same with the seven dwarfs mine, which is so well done it's a tiny attraction in my opinion. I want to buy attraction merchandise for the Jungle Cruise and other rides. And there are a lot of us and Disney actually does a lot of its profit with these shops. The fact that many Europeans didn't buy merchandise was one of the reasons why DLP had a bad start.

I agree, it can be fun when there is ride specific and unique merchandise after a ride, but when you go into gift shops like Pooh's where the same items you find down on MSUSA and everywhere else are for sale, it gets tiring. All the same its probably for the best that not every ride has a big shop to wade through afterward.

Yea, it leads right into a gift shop. However, at least they have some ride-themed merchandise, I got myself a nice retro SM shirt there (and I'm wearing it right now!)

I guess I will finally be able to buy my Space Mountain shirt on my next trip! :sohappy:

The pattern seems to point to the oldest attractions generally not having a gift shop after (most of Magic Kingdom). As the years went by they found more ways to take our money! Most of the gift shop rides are in the newest parks, DHS and AK.

I for one don't mind the post ride gift shops, even though I rarely actually buy anything from them.

Rides just get less merch the longer they've been around. Even Everest and Tower have about half the merchandise they used too. They find out what the big sellers are and just make those, compared to a Brand New Attraction where they are unsure of what people want, and come up with a store full of goods. Tower in 95: FULL OF TOWER GOODS. Tower Today: About 40% Tower Goods, 60% Vinylmation, Nightmare, and girls' designer T-Shirts and plush that have no right being in that store. Just how it happens these days.

That shirt is pretty much the only SM related thing in that store, unless you count the ride photos you can pay $texas for .

The SM shirt is not even from the right park, either.

You can get JC and Tiki shirts in Agrabah Bazaar late last year. I agree, this is daft since they arn`t in the attractions in question, and you have to look for them (and/or ask for them)

A prime example of the poor planning and execution of WDWs attraction merch.

Not true... I have this shirt. The trains on the SM Shirt are from MK's..DL's Trains are side by side seats which are the opposite of Splash mountains logs of both parks.
