June discount codes

I know June is a bit far away, but I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of codes are usually released for that time frame. (i.e. last year's codes) My friends and I are trying to budget our trip, and resort discounts will really affect it.
We are going from June 6th to June 12th, and we plan to stay at a Value resort unless we can get a discount for a moderate that brings it down near the value price.
One thing that isn't relevant to the question, I'm traveling with 3 newbies. None of these 3 have ever gone to WDW. Boy, this outta be interesting!

Hi there, June is too far away for the codes to come out now, however Id check out Mousesavers.com for some historical information. It is under the FAQ section I believe.
Another option would be to speak to our own Kingdom Konsultant. She has been really good about guiding people I have sent to her for the lowest rates that they qualify for. You can PM her through the board or reach her through her own website, Kingdomkonsultant.com. Good luck !! Belle

I too, am waiting for the next set of codes to come out. There is a code now which expires around February 10th, and a few that run through April 17th (Peak Season). The recent pattern shown on Mousesavers, is that the new code has been coming out the day the previous ends. So I am keeping my fingers crossed for something around February 10-13. But this is really totally a guess. (I want to book for May). We'll just have to wait and see.

Of course you can always book now, (so you are guaranteed a room), and cancel/rebook, when and if the new codes come out.:)

Belle is correct, of course. After a bit of back tracking I see that the discount rates for the first week of June 2003 were not released until April 21, 2003 (cuz that's the date I made my reservation, :D ). They had some great discounts last June, though. I was at the Caribbean Beach for only $74 a night. Here's hoping the rates for this June will be as good for you. (We're staying at the Beach Club Villa's on the BF's DVC this year . . . woo hoo!)

I certainly wouldn't mind Carribean Beach for $74 a night. Heck, I was hoping just to get All-Stars for that much! (Since it is $119 a night, based on the rack rate)

My guess is the next set of discounts will become available on Monday April 19 covering stays through 7/3/04. Last year i believe the All-Stars was like $59 a night.

I was going $119...but then you said you'll be traveling with 3 others. All adults?

If so it will be $133.28 per night.

Hey all, Great idea on the booking early, but whatever you do dont book a package or you will be subject to a 45 day cancellation policy. If you cancel within 45 days of your arrival you forfeit your downpayment!! I got nailed with that once and it wasnt plesant. Disney Guest Services was able to reduce it as I was plannning another trip but I did still lose some money on the whole deal. Make sure you ask for a room only reservation and inquire as to the cancellation/ change policy. Belle

Oops! I forgot to mentio that $74 a night was the AP discount. The codes for non-AP non-Florida- residents was about $20 a night higher

Yea, all 4 of us are adults. Well, as adult as 18-20 year olds can be!
Based on Disney's web site, it will be a total of $796.08 for 6 nights @ Pop Century. Anything we can get cheaper than that (on property of course) would be great!

well, we too are waiting for the june codes. if all 4 adults are in one room, you will have to pay extra, so if you can get the rooms for $59 a night which I imagine you can, you might opt for two rooms $60 @ 6 = $360 x2= $720. so it just depends on whats more important, money or the extra bathroom that a second room would provide!

Hey RPMdfw, I sure hope the ap rates are that good this year. We were at wdw may/june of '02 and are now planning our return trip, but this year I think it will be more like mid june, but i would love to get those rates! so now everyone...cross those fingers for all of us waiting for the new codes ;)

Just thought I should mention that we went to WDW last year at that time as well and about a month before our trip, they did put out one last code that did get us the $74 a night room at CBR and we are NOT AP holders. Up until that code, the best we could get was $94. Just keep watching.....

so can we book now, and then rebook w/o penalties when or if a rate comes out? I don't like being in the lurch, but then I don't like paying more than I have to either! esp. when I am needing three rooms for ten nights.

Any experience I've had in the past, you can book now, and then when a code comes out you can change your reservation. There are no penalties for changing a reservation so long as you do it before there is less than a week to go.
I probably won't be able to book till around April anyways, so I'm just going to wait till the codes come out.

Hey there again, In answer to your question, Dwarful, it depends on how you book. If you book a package, there is a 45 day cancellation policy which can snag you. If you book only a room- only package, I believe that it is only a 5 day cancellation policy, but be SURE to ask while you are booking it!! Also I think that if you pay off your package there might be a problem changing it, although I Am not absolutely certain about that. If you book through a travel agent, you may have a cancellation policy through their office that has absolutely nothing to do with Disney or any of thier policies! My friend had booked a past trip through her agent and we were discussing the discount codes. Because she booked through her agent there was a clause that said if she cancelled the trip for any reason ( besides health and that only if she took the travel insurance) that she would be subject to a 10% penalty which in her case was $300!!! That was almost equal to the amount of money she would have saved. Needless to say she didnt use that travel agent again!! Hope this helps, Belle

Thanks wannabelle, haven't made up my/our minds yet on if we will go w/ a travel agent or not. We haven't used an agent since our honeymoon almost 10 yrs ago. But I have heard lots of great things about Pam and KK so thats an option. Either way, because we are going back in Nov. we are getting ap's so it will be room only reservations, putting the deposit on my Disney Visa Card. I didn't know if they would honor the codes on rooms already reserved, or if it was like the airlines "oh we only had 3 seats for $100 all the rest are full price."

Sure Dwarful, not a problem. Anything I can do to help!!! If it is room only ressies, I am pretty confident that you can book them now, and then rebook if and when codes come out. The problem with that is exactly as you said. There is an incredibly limited number of rooms set aside for the discount codes. In other words, say you call a few weeks after the codes come out, if there arent any more rooms left for that particular discount code, they cant apply the discount to the rooms you have already. From my limited understanding, when rebooking for the codes, they cancel one reservation and make another at the lower rate. Id certainly check that with Pam though, she may know more of the inner workings of CRO!!! Belle
