No a normal night. (MK was open until 1am.) I'm a Florida resident. I'm not foolish enough to do WDW in August! But it was like xmas-nye week busy. Just wall-to-wall people everywhere.

We did three parks and rode ONE ride. We didn't even ride the TTA because it had a 30 minute wait!

I found last night was busier than my August stay. Every ride had a 30 minute + line.

On my last daycation to Disney this month (MK, 12/6, during the unexpected Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade taping), I didn't see any turismos (Argentinean and Brazilian tour groups) that day, but I did see a couple of Scholars (the Pop Warner kids). The longest wait that time was an hour for BTMR, but I took some pics of the ride whilst on queue.

-the Brazilians are back :hurl::hurl: including groups of 100+ all in full yellow outfits

Oh, and speaking of turismos (from Brazil and Argentina), I'm prepared for them today - I'm off to Epcot! Bring on the chanting!

And remember kids, Epcot stands for Eager Pernambucanos Come On Tour - courtesy of the Argentinean and Brazilian tour groups flocking to the Vacation Kingdom!

*** The South American groups were rampant during the 4th thru 11th and there were big problems on Tuesday the 8th while @ DHS. The was a group from Argentina that casued havoc @ Lights, Motors, Actions... The were chanting and stomping their feet so loudly and wildly that several cast members had to get involved to get them to stop. The "chaperones" (and I do mean that in the most ridiculous sense) were the ones inciting everyone and starting the chants. :brick: They were also @ Planet Hollywood the night before causing issues there as well. I found the South American groups very rude, obnoxious and extremely poorly behaved.

I'm off to Epcot today, so I'm going to watch out for those groups - I'm not letting the chanting ruin my day!

But first, I gotta revisit my childhood Catholic shrine I've been to some times in the past, Mary Queen of the Universe! (I'm glad it's a basilica now! :D)

Thanks for the update!

Ahh I want this to happen to us!! Any tips on how?

They help you get up onto the leaderboards, but you need 2 decent players to trigger them.

Bo Peep and Wheezy balloon pop -- each player works on clearing the 5ish balloons on each cloud on their side, have both players hit the last balloon on their cloud at the same time to switch the room to rainbow which drops tons of 2000 pt rainbow balloons

Army Men plate break -- on the mountain ridge near the top, 2000 pt plates are thrown up in the air then fall back down. If both players hit the plate on their side, the middle mountain will lower revealing a tank that shoots 4000 pt plates. Also 3-4 2000pt plates are now tossed up on each side instead of just 1.

Buzz's Ring Toss -- put a ring on every alien in the center spaceship before they respawn and the spaceship will blast off revealing a box. The box will periodically open with increasing pt values. Toss in as many rings as you can while the box is open.

i am starting to get worried...how bad will these south american tour groups be 12/31 through 1/7??

An absolute heck, my friend - I read over the web despite my lack of good Portuguese (and a good bit of Spanish, for the Argentinians) that the turismos' tours are planned during the span (It's summer in sub-equatorial South America, my friend!), so be prepared for a HUGE barrage of chanting!!!

Just got back from a long weekend trip to WDW. I thought crowds at all four parks were light to manageable in the mornings, but then got increasingly heavy over the course of the day. Crowds were verging on insane by late afternoon, with near "gridlock" after parades and other performances.

CMs at all the stores I visited knew about the 50% off on 2009 merchandise -- very helpful for pin purchases, in particular.

It seemed like more than half the CMs I encountered were either from China or Brazil. Their proficiency in English varied widely, from barely intelligible to fluent.

As for the Brazilian tour groups, I didn't mind them so much generally. What bothered me was when tour group leaders would go get 50+ Fastpasses at once for every member of their group. At one point, there was a tour group leader at every single Fastpass machine for Test Track, feeding giant stacks of admission tickets into the machines -- which backed up all the lines and caused people who were only waiting to get 1 or 2 Fastpasses to wait for over 10 minutes.

The Most Disgusting Queue award has to go to Primeval Whirl. The queue was pretty filthy the last time I was at WDW, but I figured they'd try to at least clean up some of the grime. It doesn't help that the theming of the queue is atrocious to begin with.

I was very happy with the upkeep at certain attractions, less so with others. As others have said, the animatronics at CBJ really need some work. The clicking was loud and distracting. I was pleased with BTMRR, though -- I saw Cumulus Isobar actually bailing water for the first time (I'd only ever seen him standing still, with a dry bucket). They really should do something about the "bats on sticks," though.

My favorite holiday touch was the themed Dole Whips. Pineapple is now red and vanilla is green, so if you order a pineapple/vanilla swirl, you get a red-and-green swirled Dole Whip.

Great thanks for the tips!
