JP River Adventure vs DINOSAUR

Between Jurassic Park River Adventure at Universal's Islands of Adventure and DINOSAUR at Disney's Animal Kingdom, which ride is best? The question should be separated into segments - the first being which ride was better at opening and the second beung which is better now

My personal opinion is that both have there ups and downs, though while both of the surrounding areas are very dissapointing ans fall far short of their potentials, Dinoland U.S.A. isn't even in the ballpark. Instead of a prehustoric setting of adventure in the past... we get a roadside carnival... ugh lol

I say that river adventure needs more work, but is the best ride of it's ride type, while dinosaur, despite being better in the mechanical sense isn't close to being the best of it's ride type.

Well, I just think that indiana jones is themed better, but I do like dinosaur. Enough for me to dislike the idea of it being replaced by indy.
As for River Adventure, I like it more than most log rides because of the theming, the thrills, and it gets you really wet.

Sorry, I meant why compare JP to Dino. There’s no comparison.

The reason for the comparison is that both rides are... well... dinosaurs lol. Different ride systems sure, but that doesn't mean I can't say that Splash Mountain is better than the Barnstormer lol.

Not comparable, two totally different ride systems with different goals for the ride experience.

But you can’t compare JP to Splash Mountain eventhough they have similar ride systems because SM would win hands down. Only thing Uni has close to Dinosaur is Kong and that’s not even a competition, dinosaur blows Kong away.

Omg lol I remember passing that on the road... saw a video on YouTube, my God is it awful lol
Easily the scariest ride I've ever been on, too. When it's not something screaming with teeth doing a jump scare, it's long, long periods of unnerving silence.

Between these two, Universe of Energy.

I agree with this for the simple reason that just because an attraction features dinosaurs doesn't mean it has to be all "X-TREME THRILLZERZ" like a 90s dude with one too many cans of Surge.

This jack@$$.

Anyway, I'm hoping that Disney has the forethought enough to re-home the UoE dinos at Animal Kingdom in a gentle alternative to "Dinosaur". Heck, bring in some of their brethren from Disneyland's Primeval Diorama that didn't make the cut for Epcot.

And maybe actually transition from era to era.
Case in point, the Triceratops, Ornithomimus, Trachodon, Pteranodon, and Elasmosaurus lived in the late Cretaceous while Brontosaurus*, Allosaurus, and Stegosaurus were both in the Jurassic. They wouldn't be inhabiting the same space.

*all these years, we believed Brontosaurus wasn't real and it was just an Apatosaurus. Apparently in 2015, Brontosaurus was brought back.

Another example of a calming dinosaur ride that I'm sure will make you happy.

Kingdom of the dinosaurs, a ride that used to be in knotts. Sat abandoned for years before being replaced by a screen shooter ride.
