Journey to Atlantis re-opens with all effects gone

Budget cuts and shifts/restructuring of Deep Blue Creative (probably for the better) I would guess as continued reasons. At this point a gist of a story would be better than the nothing within those walls with potential now.

I was on it 2 weeks ago and was shocked they got rid of the storyline. The last time I was on it was 19 years ago. But they still have the giant Medusa head. It doesn't make sense to keep it if there's no more story

One of their objectives with the new Haunted House for Howl-O-Scream is to revisit the classic storyline. Perhaps we’ll see a remake of the ride after the new Wild Arctic is completed. I hope that happens, as it's a great ride and the building could use some renovation.

If they brought back Pets Ahoy and Turtle Trek, along with a remake of Journey to Atlantis, SeaWorld would truly return to its best.

I truly hope so. I still enjoy the ride but it is lacking when it comes to the themed elements.

I loved Turtle Trek. Not sure why they got rid of it bc it couldn't have been expensive to maintain - the film was already made. They could easily bring it back.

still no effects. rode it 5 times yesterday lol. I just want some story in that dark ride area man, something. its so cool and does not deserve what it has.
