Im gladd that one of the commuinicore buildings is gone, really opens up the central courtyard imo. I dig the new Epcot, the only thing im not keen on is Harmonious. Being both off center and leaving the barges out is not cool

I'm with you on that.
I like the whole look of what I'm seeing and what is to come, but the Harmonious barges are an eyesore and should never have been allowed.
More than that, they should be removed.

It was originally scheduled for 2023. So... let's say 2024!

Lion King was preceded by Nightmare Before Christmas, Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast.
Far from needing saved

The key word is "helped" it was a part of the renaissance along with lion king, aladdin and beauty and the beast. At that point in history disney animation needed alot of saving. That 5 year period was a boon for all of Disney and reinvigorated the interest. I havent seen anything that compares to it in my 47 years.

Edutainment is not the same thing as straight up educational. It will talk about the water cycle, yes, but it will also have many aspects of Moana such as characters, hence the “entertainment” part of the word edutainment.

Once you get to the gift shop at the end, and you can drink out of one of their skulls, it will all make sense.

Edutainment is not the same thing as straight up educational. It will talk about the water cycle, yes, but it will also have many aspects of Moana such as characters, hence the “entertainment” part of the word edutainment.

Perhaps it's a segment about needing to conserve water, don't waste it,...I don't know. They're cute!

I agree. I’m not the world’s biggest fan of them putting IP all over EPCOT, but I’m actually kinda digging the look of this area so far. I think it will end up being a really nice experience.

Probably because so many people on this board kept calling it a simple “splash pad” and are continuing to do so. IMO the term splash pad really undermines what the experience is seeming to be as a whole.

They should have kept the old buildings and reused it for something else. Moana belongs in Adventureland, not Epcot.

Disney has long since stopped caring about where things belong.
