Not disagreeing with you Re: Disney's outlook on Epcot. But respectfully since this is a forum to discuss Disney World I do think there is a point to discuss whether something fits or not. Especially because Disney continually tries to justify their decisions with mental gymnastics. Peter Quinn went to Epcot once, therefor this fits. As long as Disney tries to make excuses we can continue to debate whether those excuses are good enough. While I recognize that it will have no outcome on the result, I still think discussion of the thematic appropriateness of something is precisely what these forums partially are built for.

I'm not shocked, just continually disappointed.Yes, I agree it's worth discussing, but let's not be shocked when something doesn't fit the old Epcot.
Gonna be hell when it rains."Future World" as we knew it - is gone. Considering the sad state of affairs it has been for a very, very long time now... What they're putting in its place won't have any need for "keeping it current" which ultimately killed FW. I dare say I like it. All these landscape features ("attractions") are on the right side of the park, tie into The Land and The Living Seas pavilions and the already organic pathways. Plus they'll offer a lovely, relaxing and SHADED place to be.
I'm down. Let's do this.
Sklar or Smith? The sponsorship/operational model of the pavilions is broken and has been for 25 years...That’s what I want Marty to comment on.
News - New Park Entrance coming to Epcot
Am I wrong in assuming there is going to be another fountain that replace the FON? Ask Moana.forums.wdwmagic.com
No more than DAK. Granted, Epcot doesn't have the best history with drainage... Maybe the softscaping will help soak it up.Gonna be hell when it rains.
Or with lightning.
Thing is, they’re removing purpose built shelter. The original park was built with the right amount of severe weather and storm shelter in the right place. That’s why we got the Rhine River queue and load area for example. No more than DAK. Granted, Epcot doesn't have the best history with drainage...
True; no more hiding out in Communicore/Innoventions. Hide in the nearest pavilion instead.Thing is, they’re removing purpose built shelter. The original park was built with the right amount of severe weather and storm shelter in the right place.

Good point...drainage there is already “taxed”Thing is, they’re removing purpose built shelter. The original park was built with the right amount of severe weather and storm shelter in the right place. That’s why we got the Rhine River queue and load area for example.
