The whole concept of the panel and who is on it, how it's being promoted quite a bit, and especially that interview Disney just posted where the majority of focus is discussing their prior park-based films, really is giving me the tease they might be announcing some new tv/film projects based off their park rides.

And if you've been following you may know what those might be.
Any hints?

Figment?

we never got any word back on them, but here’s what some announced in development Disney parks movies were:

Figment - written by mutant mayhem and detective pikachu team members.

Taika Watiti’s tower of terror

Big Thunder mountain

Space Mountain
actually found a quote about the figment movie from an article about TMNT:
“Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Brendan O’Brien (awarded story by credit) and Jeff Rowe (director) had been working on Turtles for some time before Hernandez and Samit came on board. The duo had been working on another project with Seth and Evan called Figment. “We then came in to help out with Turtles and we ended up doing a bunch of work on it,” says Benji.”

Notice someone who's very absent in this?
Where's Walden? I mean she's the head streaming honcho and former? top contender for CEO.
These little wars between these peeps before a new CEO announcement are always interesting. Wouldn't be surprised if this was a power move from these two.

Figment? Hmm…I doubt it. But we’ll see.
There's several that have been thrown around as others mentioned. Some as far as articles mentioning them being worked on, some as far as teases (Disney teased the Hernandez and Samit film awhile back on a video on their socials, for example) while never officially announcing anything, so there's multiple.

If I had to bet on this it would be Figment and Pirates 6. Who knows though, they might just announce the next wave of popcorn buckets

You know, if they started production soon they could probably get a Big Thunder movie out before the refurb is finished and could put set pieces in that tie into the movie. That feels like the right level of announcement for this kind of event too. I’m going to put my bet in for Big Thunder.

There is a big thunder mountain movie confirmed to be in the works. It’s being made by the same people that made Hawkeye.

This would seem like the type of event where they roll out their Apple Vision type content. Is that still a thing? I know they curtailed their Metaverse initiative but not sure if that means AV experiential development has been stalled too.

There’s a deadline article about it.

I don’t think there’s been any public acknowledgement or movement on this in the almost 3 years since this was reported.

Plus, given what’s happened over at Splash/Tiana, they should pump the brakes on making attractions based on still in development film/TV projects.
I didn’t say anything about attractions. I was merely confirming that a movie was in the works. And besides I’m stating the obvious here but big thunder mountain already exists. So I have no idea what you’re talking about. This isn’t like the Tiana show at all.
