I wish they featured more of WDW. From the show, it doesn't look like they got to do too much...............
Well, as usual, Kate did drive me a little nuts! When she came off Dumbo screaming for Jon to take upset Colin, I thought, "He's probably dealing with his own issues with the other children!" Most of the children were well behaved and they looked like they had a great time. I do give Jon a lot of credit for taking such a big family all that way with the massive amount of luggage, that huge van and the trailor. And I give Kate the credit for packing all that stuff and getting it straight!!
2 suggestions though..........
Melted ice cream on your kids clothes isn't the end of the world. Disney does have restrooms with soap and water; let them be kids! And please........BUY A NEW CAMERA!!!

I think that show is just a tad annoying with the whining voices of Kate, and the kids. I feel that John is just a jackass plain and simple. Everytime I saw him, he just seems to be yelling at his wife, and always starting an argument about something stupid. I mean seriously you have all these kids, deal with it! Don't wine about how tired, and how much you do for the family, and expect something in return. Just my two cents added.

I thought it was great and Kate admits that she is obsessive and I guess with 8 kids she needs to be.

Jon just goes with the flow and he knows how she is and works with it.
He does have his funny little comments and comebacks though..Loved when he said.."Oh there goes the castle..it is on wheels and they will wheel it away" when she wass telling him to hurry..but how many of us have not wanted to rush?

I adore them and think they do an amazing job together raising those kids..I know I would lose my mind..:)

I disagree..I have one child and you know what..I whine sometimes and complain about how tired I am..Its just natural.

Sometimes you just need a break and need to moan and complain..no matter what.

With 8 kids..I think he and she have every right to complain..no matter what though they still do what they need to do and they do deal with it.

But he is always instigating something with her, and trying to start a fight about nothing! I understand the moaning, and complaining about the kids, even though they had them. I just think he could be a better husband, learn to be more understanding, and kind to his wife.

My concern is the kids. All they hear is Mommy and Daddy fighting when they are together. They hear how Mommy yells at Daddy and how Daddy yells back at Mommy. Granted, their life is hectic with 8 kids, BUT what example is that showing to their kids about how families speak to each other.
You can see it in the way Mady speaks to them. When she gets fed-up, she just screams (in the episode last night). Why? From her example! I've heard Kate do that in a few episodes also.
Bottom line, I think Kate needs some councelling to control her OCD. She admits she has it, so do something about it.

I think if Kate wasn't obsessive then their family would be absolute chaos! I loved seeing the world, and loved seeing the kids' reactions. Of course me though, was about to cry when you could see the princesses just standing there while the kids' were crying about the ice cream.

i wish they showed more of WDW instead of spending 30 mins talking about logistics. I admire the fact that they are getting by w/ so many children but honestly, it just feels like every episode is spent discussing logistics...and w/ a lot of negative energy going on.

I admit it was nice to see her happy for a change, but its just not my cup of tea, spinning or not. "P

I watched it lastnight and enjoyed it immensely!!! Maybe just because they were is WDW haha but I try and watch the show when possible. It is annoying when Kate's a little ocd but you can't blame her, I don't see how they do it!

My favorite line was when John wanted to take off his mickey ears during the interview and Kate says "but honey it's covering your receding hairline" haha they're so cute togther!

I got a kick out of the show last night and I think that Kate's excitement for the kids was cute. Regardless of how big a family is - there is always stress when traveling - kids not sleeping in their own beds, routines are thrown off, etc... I think that they managed very well, but will agree that Kate needs to lighten up a little. She really does appreciate the magic and I loved that!

This was my post on the other thread:

I caught the show last night and it was great. I felt great about my trip after seeing theirs even with our Disney melt-downs. ((hubby even got on the phone to check availability on flights to leave that very evening which was 5 nights early)). It was cool to see the excitement with the children. I teared up when Kate got all excited about the mouse ears hats. I did that, too. I wondered if they got to do the other parks while there. By reading between the lines I think they did. At the end when Kate was about to get into the van you could see her all teared up. That's so me! I felt her pain. I'm still in the post-Disney-crash. LOL! **sniffle**sniffle** The final bit on the show when they were talking to Jon & Kate they said it all when they explained that no matter how tough it was getting there, even with all the fussing children & obstacles, it ended too soon. And Jon said, "I know. We have to go back." Me toooooo!!!!

For those having the big Jon & Kate marriage debate, that's not for us to decide by watching a tv show. What we see on television is just television. It's subject to editing. Of course they make people play roles and be portrayed certain ways to create characters for tv. Whatever the relationship / marriage is between that couple is theirs and not ours to judge. It works for them and their family. Just because it doesn't appear to be your ideal of the American family doesn't mean anything. A. It's probably not what you see portrayed on tv. And B. Different isn't wrong. It's just different.

Yaaaaaayyy for Jon & Kate Plus 8! That was a cool perspective and glimpse into someone elses vacation from planning to afterglow. I loved it!

Bingo. I think sometimes people forget that reality TV isn't real at all.... it's a whole lotta scripts. Anyways, speaking of scripts- I loved the last question that they asked kate, about why she loved Disney World so much?- It just screamed "disney-made-us-ask-this-as-part-of-the-deal!!" haha but it made me laugh, and who can blame them- for as many strings that they pulled for this family, they better get some good publicity too!

As my mom says when we watch the program "That lady deserves some kind of a metal!" LOL! I haven't watched it yet and I hope to on thursday, but on the subject of their marriage I believe that it would be impossible not to fight when you have that many kids running around and screaming! And like someone else said I'm sure there are moments where they are all lovey dovey but as we all know controversy is attractive!
