Jogging in WDW

My dad and I just began a new running routine with an app that prepares you to run a 5K in an 8-week time frame. Continuing this program, we're planning on running in the mornings when we're in WDW next week (we'll be there June 30th-July 4th). I'm posting this thread to ask others where good locations to run would be. For example, is the walkway from Contemporary to Magic Kingdom a good place to run around 6:30 or 7 AM? Is this even allowed?

Thanks,

JJ Harvill

Fort Wilderness is a great place to run if you can make it up there. I've also run around the lake at Boardwalk/Yacht and Beach. The boardwalk is a little loud though... tends to clank a lot. The Caribbean Beach also has a pretty nice promenade around the lake.

Didn't see, but was wondering what the distance is of any of the trails are at Shades of Green / Palm and Magnolia golf courses?

I've run the length from ASMo to ASSp. The path parallels the road out in front of the resorts. There were distance markings on the sidewalk, when I ran it. I've also run the sidewalks at PO. That entire path is about 1.7 miles.

I completed week 6 of the C25K program running around at Old Key West resort! ;) It was so much more fun to run at WDW than at home!! :D

The path between CR and MK is pretty short for running (maybe it's just me, but I find short back-and-forths very boring!). Those links provided above to the jogging trails are very helpful. If you're staying at the Contemporary, you'd be better off to follow the path around the buildings as indicated on the map.

Wondering about the Pop / AOA. Does anyone have a map of a path combining the two resorts yet??
Can you run all the way around the lake now. I know last time I stayed there, I ran on one side back and forth...I kept going from construction wall to construction wall. Once AoA is complete, that should be a gorgeous 1.5-2 mile run.

Also, just ask the hotel. They always have maps and great routes. ;)

AOA / POP jogging path around the lake is going to be really nice. It was still fenced off at Little Mermaid the end of august. Once open it will be nice.
