Well those are some of the people/bands I listen to. I started out as just asking if other people liked Jimi Hendrix but then I just decided to put more.

All are very good choices and made some of the greatest music ever.
My all time favorite is LED ZEPPELIN.....................they are without a doubt the greatest band ever formed.
Some of the best songs ever and they were made 30 years ago .
They were so far ahead of their time they are timeless.:king:

Jimi Hendrix owns me.... he is god. It is mind boggling to think of what music would be today if he was never around. He is definitely the most influential artist ever.

I think this is a pretty natural grouping myself; with the exception of the Who, all of the artists mentioned kind of fit into the "psychedelic" subgenre of rock.

Not really. I just see great rock and roll bands there. I thought everyone would see some sort of connection.

I love all of these and I usually do group them together even though they do have style differences. These are some of the musicians that got me interested in playing guitar in the first place. I listen to at least one of these bands just about every day.
However, my favorite group will always be The Beatles.

Pink Floyd- Their music was new wave art rock and still is. It's diferent than anything around today.
Led Zeppelin- Pioneers of heavy metal. They played very innovative stuff and serve as a base of inspiration for most any hard rock band around today.
Jimmy Hendrix- Blues... but he brought it to a diferent level with his innovative guitar styles.
I can't say much about the Who because I know nothing from or about them.
So maybe I see three diferent bands and one indiferent band.
I've never thought of them as similar bands. Sure they all fit into that catagory of 'classic rock' but so does Fleetwood Mac. :hurl:

the who are pretty kool just sorry that they suffered a lost but dont worry there is a new greatest htis album in the pipeline or so ive heard.

Yeah thats a great album it was their first and it was made over 30 years ago and todays music cant even hold a candle to it
