Someone on twitter saw the show about a half hour ago and said the smoke and fireworks were not working.

The carpet is new, when it closed down the CM out front said all the seats were removed as they were replacing the carpets.

Really? Sounds like a great refurb to me. Besides, wasnt everyone on this site complaining about the rumor of the preshow getting changed?

I mean I'm glad they did a general refurb but I think that the pre-show should have been changed. It's not that funny IMO.

Not quite sure why they would open it back up without the effects working, but I'm THRILLED that the pre show wasn't changed. Disney did announce that there would be a new preshow at D23, so I'm not sure what has happened there, but I hope that a decision was made not to change it and we won't see a new one pop up in the upcoming days.

So I'm assuming they fixed (or will be fixing) the walls in the theater as well? When I was there in January, only a few of them were actually red; most of them were orange, yellow, or just plain not working and gray. It was horrible, horrible show.

It was only missing the overhead fireworks. The image quality improvements more than makes up for those missing. I'm sure they will be back soon.

Excellent, I had read elsewhere that the smoke effects were missing to, so that's great to hear.
