Trip Report JenniferS was live! 9/6/17 - 9/16/17

This will be my fourth live trip report in a year, and after NYC last week, I thought Hubby had reached his limit, but he says, "No, go ahead, do a live trip report. It lets me control the tv while you talk to your friends." (As we meet more of my WDWDisney friends, he uses finger quotes around "friends" less and less.)

So, here we go, another live trip report. I really don't have the will to do a post trip report, so it's "live" or nothing. Once I'm out of the bubble, I'm out.

Introductions.

That would be me, Jennifer, on the left. Big Disney fan, big Blue Jays fan, big Hubby fan. Ace, in the middle - although he will always be BJ Birdie to me. Hubby, Mike, on the right. Although Mike is the one who first introduced me to Disney in 1991, it's not really his thing. He goes with me most years to make me happy. And also for the food.

As with our past three trips, we will be spending 11 days, 10 nights at Coronado Springs Resort. We booked a BounceBack offer before checking out last year, before knowing how much construction would be going on. Oh well, it is what it is. And what it is, is my favourite resort in my Happy Place; so it's all good.

We have a Preferred King room booked, which means Casitas 1, 2, or 3. Nonetheless, I think I will be sending in a room preference fax tomorrow asking for a refurbed King room in either 7A or 8A. I'll be happy either way. I am ridiculously easy to please whilst in WDW.

Yes, I am one of those Free Dining parasites. By booking the BB offer last year, we are actually getting the full DDP for free, instead of having to upgrade from QDP. I put great thought and effort into our ADR's. Mike is a big guy and eats a lot. The heat and humidity really kills my appetite, so Mike eats at least half of my meals too. (I've recently packed on 20 pounds, so that may be a good thing.)

Next up, our somewhat loosey goosey itinerary.

Dinner at Pepper Market. Most of the menu is back ... except the one thing we both wanted - the half chicken. Oh well.

Mike got the usual.

I made a mistake and went with the crab cake sandwich. "Are you going to eat your tomato?"
Yes, yes, I am! Not!

We are needing some milk.

This place is going to be totally different two years from now.

The Lounge. We always say we're going in here for a drink. We never do.

Our plan was to power walk around the resort before grabbing coffee and heading back to the room.
Power walk became old lady stroll due to how dark it was (a few lights were out) and significant amount of organic debris strewn across the paths.

We refilled our mugs with our evening coffee and came back to the room. First things first - we had tidied the room earlier, but the bed ... the bed is a mess! That's what happens when you lay about in bed for the better part of 48 hours.

Okay, bed "made" as best we can, we enjoy a couple of Kellogg's All Bran breakfast bars for "dessert" and finalize our plans for tomorrow.

The plan is to get up early and get to MK for EMH. We have no FP's here, but we should be in and out before the masses. Treehouse, Pirates, HM are must-do's for me tomorrow. Anything else is bonus.

The plan is then to get over to Epcot before noon, and use some of our remaining 30 Snack Credits for lunch in World Showcase. We have FP's for here, including for Frozenstrom. I'd like to do Soarin', Single Rider TT, and LwtL, as well as SSE.

American Adventure and IdF are WS musts!

We'd like to be out of there by 4:30'ish, earlier if the weather doesn't co-operate, in order to clean up for MY favourite ADR. The Yachtsman. Oh baby! Here's hoping I remember to take pics. :hilarious:

These items are top of our lunch list. Depends what the crowds are like. I want to eat early, as I don't want to spoil dinner.

Lamb T-bone!

Both! But legit, probably just the filet.

Warm chocolate pudding? Yes please.

Lobster Roll.

Fried elastic rubber bands.

And Mike says - a beer flight or two at the Odyssey.

Now to try and adjust our ADR's to a smidge later. Wish me luck.

In addition to the Wild Africa Trek, this is what we missed today:

Not complaining though. God kept us in His hands. We were totally safe. We never lost power, or tv, or wifi. The CM's went above and beyond. And I spent the day with my ride or die. Life is good.

5206 FitBit steps! Ha, I'm shocked.

Jungle Cruise is closed. Why do I not know this?

Well that's no good. I had planned on impressing my husband by showing off that I know every single line in the entire queue loop - both spoken and sung ... except the Swahili part.

I was looking forward to him calling me a nerd!
