Trip Report JenniferS Is Live - 9/7/16 - 9/17/16

Hi, my name is JenniferS, and I am a Disneyholic. I have been accused of being a Pixie Dust snorter. I've been accused of worse, so no biggie.

Once we get home from a Disney trip, I am always in a bit of a funk, and never really up to doing a proper trip report. For those of you who know me, I generally post live over in Chit Chat somewhere. This is my first dedicated live trip report in the actual Trip Report Thread.

The cast:
Me. JenniferS. Just turned 49. Honestly friends, I don't know how that happened. I still feel 27. But, my passport and driver's licence insist I was born in 1967, and I have two 20-something sons, so it must be true.

This is me, on my way to work this morning. All smiles, because this is my last day of work for almost two weeks!

And this is Hubby. He is not on his way to work today, as he has been off work for 6 months. He is 48 years old and this is the first entire summer he has had off since he was 14. In 31 years together, this is only the second time I have seen him with a tan.

Goofy is his favourite character.

And last year, he was obsessed with this over-sized "Stitchie". There was no room in our luggage, but this year, I am determined to buy it for him, and bring it home by any means necessary. Actually, I'm just going to bring our big SouthWest duffel bag, and pay for an extra bag coming home.

This will be our first Disney trip, just the two of us, since 1992!

The show is running late, and a lady just pushed her way (and her kids) right in front of me.

I very gently tapped her shoulder and said, "ummmm, no".

She moved.

Seriously, I've been here for 45 mins. I let the kids stay, if that makes you hate me any less.

I have sent the kids up to the front before on things like this before but I stayed in the back where I could still keep an eye on them. Only because they are short and can't see over everyone.

Only downside today, he did not speak.
Last time, the voice/voice changer was spot on.
Today, just arm and hand gestures.

I hope it is working next week. Love to see the interaction with my two. Still thinking of bringing hisJedi costume and lightsaber to enhance the experience.

The rain and Hubby's wet shoes have chased us out.

Except for using our FP's for Midway Mania, and watching the Galaxy March and the Star Wars Runway Show, we did not, in any way, shape or form, stick to the schedule.

Had a great day anyway!
Also finished my shopping for the boys' Christmas gifts, and got Ski a cool stocking stuffer.

After dinner, we of course took a spin on The Grand Fiesta Tour.

On the way to the Odyssey for a potty break, I took this pic:

We had planned on doing Test Track single rider, but I know it doesn't operate in the lightning.

Do I see a single digit? Why yes, I do!

I've never seen it anywhere close to a single digit. Low crowds + 3rd theater = awesome

The Gran Fiesta Tour has grown on me. When it first came I thought it was kind of boring and wasn't very entertaining, but I really like the ride now. It's a nice, relaxing ride, with little to no wait - even during the busy summer season! This last trip is was actually one of my favorite memories. I need the front row, though, because of my height - as I presume your hubby does as well.

No prob. I could probably take her.
It's just Vader and KR who scare me.

Probably wouldn't be fond of Jabba the Hutt in the same way that I don't like oysters and clams.

There's really not much more to the show than a photo op, but I'm so glad we were able to watch it.

There's something very primal about Star Wars. The good, the bad; the light, the dark; the menace, the heroes; the music.

Oh no, Star Wars ain't fizzling out anytime soon. And given my choice between the many worlds of Star Wars or the Potter franchise, I would chose Star Wars every day of the week, and twice on Sunday.

Going to have to ensure we watch this. Thank you.

I usually get stuck with 3, which leaves no room to spread your legs. That's the only ride I have problems fitting in.

And what it is - is pouring! And thundering and lightning! And we have to get to Mexico in Epcot in 36 minutes.

Strange we experienced rain as well.
