Trip Report JenniferS Is Live - 9/7/16 - 9/17/16

Hi, my name is JenniferS, and I am a Disneyholic. I have been accused of being a Pixie Dust snorter. I've been accused of worse, so no biggie.

Once we get home from a Disney trip, I am always in a bit of a funk, and never really up to doing a proper trip report. For those of you who know me, I generally post live over in Chit Chat somewhere. This is my first dedicated live trip report in the actual Trip Report Thread.

The cast:
Me. JenniferS. Just turned 49. Honestly friends, I don't know how that happened. I still feel 27. But, my passport and driver's licence insist I was born in 1967, and I have two 20-something sons, so it must be true.

This is me, on my way to work this morning. All smiles, because this is my last day of work for almost two weeks!

And this is Hubby. He is not on his way to work today, as he has been off work for 6 months. He is 48 years old and this is the first entire summer he has had off since he was 14. In 31 years together, this is only the second time I have seen him with a tan.

Goofy is his favourite character.

And last year, he was obsessed with this over-sized "Stitchie". There was no room in our luggage, but this year, I am determined to buy it for him, and bring it home by any means necessary. Actually, I'm just going to bring our big SouthWest duffel bag, and pay for an extra bag coming home.

This will be our first Disney trip, just the two of us, since 1992! :jawdrop:

In the car. A/C on FULL BLAST! Life is good.

After the fireworks, we headed over to Launch Bay to watch the 10 minute film. If the whole purpose of that film is to get you pumped for all things Star Wars, then mission accomplished.

Hubby and I both said that we need to re-watch Episodes 4-6 when we get home. From what I've heard, nobody really needs to see Episodes 1-3.

Okay, here's what we know for sure - I am NOT afraid of StormTroopers.

I am, however, afraid of Kylo Ren.
I missed the shot of Hubby and KR going toe to toe, staring each other down. Probably because I was hiding behind Hubby.
Kylo tried to circle Hubby to get to me, but Hubby plays good defence.
I'm a little ashamed to say I ran out of there. Literally.

The sign said Stand-by was a 10 minute wait, so Hubby encouraged me to go again. He waited for me in the gift shop. I bought something, but it's back in the room, so pics will have to wait.

This is my favourite ride.

(FYI, as I am typing this, out of the blue Hubby says, "He was very scary", referring to Kylo Ren. :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:)

I really wanted just a bagel, but they were all gone, so I got this.

Forgot to mention, I discovered the Caramilk secret. Okay, not really, but I unlocked the Treehouse Combination! And again, our pictures did not "take".

And I grow pretty flowers.

I have grass for carpet; which may not be so good, seeing as how I am allergic to grass.
I like the water though. That is cool.

And I have a virtual beach display through my high-tech windows. Score!

Day #4 probably doesn't start until noon. Weather permitting it's a pool/relax day, prior to hitting up MK for EME. First FP's are at 5:00-something, so there truly is no rush.

I didn't actually mind the old Nescrappe once I got used to it. Joffrey's is a little bitter.

To date, we have only redeemed one snack credit - yesterday's not-a-bagel, so we'll be using some at MK later today. I really can't see wasting one at Starbuckie's, when a Dole Whip float is right around the corner.

Careful with that grass carpet. Grass isn't always even, and you could trip or get injured or something.
