Trip Report JenniferS is live - 9/3 - 9/16

Technically this is a pre-trip report, but we’ll be going live in less than a week!

This will be my third live September trip report.

It’s going to be a lot of same old/same old, as the cast, location, and ADR’s are pretty much the same. What can I say - we like what we like. And what we like is each other, Walt Disney World, Coronado Springs, and Free Disney Dining.

First, the who.
Me, JenniferS - Uber planning, pixie dust snorting Disney-aholic, 51 year old kid at heart (despite what the mirror says).

This is Hubby. He likes the Tar Heels, the Blue Jays, food, beer, and me. Not necessarily in that order.
The words most often heard coming out of his mouth are “Whatever you want, Baby.”

This is us. We are adorable together. We’re each other’s ride or die.

Last year, we were celebrating my 50th birthday (as much as women celebrate these “milestones”).

This year, we are celebrating Mike’s 50th (both of us born in August, so it’s close enough to count) AND our 25th wedding anniversary earlier this year.

We have children, but we don’t bring them to Disney very often anymore. If they decide to get married and start giving us grand-babies, I will re-visit this decision. But for now, they stay home. We are on Jen and Mike time.

After two live trip reports, I’m not sure how wordy this report will be, but it will be heavy on pics, most especially of food! As Mike says - I’m only here for the food.

To be continued ....

Did your meal feel rushed? Ours was rushed in May, and I've heard others say they were rushed, but I'm wondering if it's just a particular server. Also our bread was hard as a rock.
So may I ask what you mean by rushed? You control the tempo and when you want more food? Did they ask you to leave? I am not sure what you mean and what people mean on the boards when they say they felt rushed? Thx for the help

We sat down, and the server brought cold, hard bread, and then the food immediately started coming, it was coming hard and fast with no breaks to give us a chance to eat the previous course. (I'm speaking of things, like the salad, drinks, and platter of noodles, dumplings, etc. No one asked us to leave, it just felt like everything was moving in fast forward. Maybe it was the server.

That's exactly what happened on our last visit. The next course continuously showed up 2-3 minutes after the previous. We felt like we needed to gobble our food before things got cold. I suppose we should have said something, but didn't.
Our ADR was a fairly late one & I'm guessing our server wanted to finish up & get out.
But I still love 'Ohana & look forward to returning.

Halfway through A$$, I had already mentally composed my review. “Well, I guess my 150 and Mike’s 230 combined to make for a pretty, slow, uneventful ride” ....

And then I got thrown hard. So hard the CM was laughing at me. I continued to bounce off the walls until the ride ended. Short ride, but long enough for what it was. Two thumbs up from me. Mike seemed to enjoy it, but he is not impressed with the other factors.

Just finishing lunch at Pizzerizzo, and Mike is looking at Andy’s Lunch Box menu.

Likes the menu, hated the lineup and the scores of confused people walking around with trays trying to figure out where to sit.

So we’re here. As usual. The food is not bad. I don’t know why it gets such a bad wrap.

Mikey can have the Bud Light and the Margarita.

I ate two pieces of this. It was piping hot, and very flavourful. One slice of pepperoni per piece is silly, but also not the end of the world.

Mark it down. I tried a tiny sip of the margarita.

Mike: Do we have FP’s for the dog?
Me: Yeah.
Mike: Good. We don’t need to go back there (TSL) until then.

Thing is, we’re not the target audience for that land, so it’s not a fail by any means. It’s just not for us.

Mike got in trouble for taking these shots.
A CM truly approached him and told him no pics.

If you don’t want people taking “over the wall” shots, then you need to build a bigger wall. Mikey will bend all kinds of “rules” for my friends.

They all look kind of the same to me, but they are three separate shots. He really had to step on his tippy tippy toes. Plus, he caught some flak, so I’ve shared all three nearly identical shots. :hilarious:

Did you like it? I LOVE a good slushy margarita on a hot day.
