8 more days 'til I get to go to my very favorite piano bar:sohappy:
I'm trying to think of a good song to request that they don't play all of the time. Any suggestions?
P.S. we asked for "War Pigs" by Black Sabbath at the piano bar on our cruise- he did part of it for $20:ROFLOL:
TIA
Pam

I haven't been to Jellyrolls, but listening to all you guys have to say about it makes it sound like a lot of fun actually! I hear it can be pretty empty? Is it still fun?
It might take some convincing to get the BF there... is it a young crowd?

I've been 3 times in the past 4 months and each time by about 9:30 or 10pm it is standing room only. The crowd usually stays that packed until about 12:30am. Cover is $10 but it is a whole heck of a lot of fun. One of my friends thought the drinks were alittle pricey, but $6.50/cocktail is actually a little on the low side when it comes to some of places I've visited over the past several months. And Melissa is spot on when she mentioned that the age variety of the crowd is huge...just as huge as the variety of music they play!

It can be pretty empty at the beginning of the night, but it fills up quickly, even on weekdays. It's usually very crowded by 9 or 10 PM. I wouldn't say that it's necessarily a young crowd. It's always been a good mix of ages when I've gone. There will be people celebrating their 21st birthdays and their 40th wedding anniversaries. :)

Last time we were there, there was a VERY drunk woman celebrating her 50th birthday.....she knew she was drunk and went along with all the teasing and jokes. Hilarious! :ROFLOL:

some of my favorites in recent trips:

beastie boys- no sleep til brooklyn
biz markie- you got what i need
not to mention disney songs! they were great!
lee greenwood- proud to be an american

there's always a great crowd and usually a great variety. without pi, this place is a nice alternative. and the biz markie song was awesome- brought the house down!!!!!

I'm tempted to request a Weird Al song next time I go - if for no other reason than the confused look on most of the crowd's faces if they sing something like "The Saga Begins".
